Martti Tulenheimo

Martti Akseli Tulenheimo (vuoteen 1906 Thulé; 20. maaliskuuta 1883 Kangasala − 18. lokakuuta 1945 Kangasala) oli suomalainen insinööri ja urkujenrakentaja, tehtailija Bror Axel Thulén poika. Hän sai teollisuusneuvoksen arvonimen vuonna 1943.

Elämäkerta

Tulenheimo valmistui insinööriksi Polyteknillisen opiston koneenrakennusosastolta vuonna 1908 ja työskenteli kaksi vuotta tanskalaisessa Marcussenin urkurakentamossa. Hän toimi vuodesta 1912 isoisänsä, Ruotsista Suomeen muuttaneen Anders Thulén (1813–1872) Kangasalle vuonna 1843 perustaman Kangasalan urkutehtaan johtajana. Yhdessä Oskar Merikannon kanssa hän julkaisi vuonna 1916 kirjan Urut, niiden rakenne ja hoito.

Sisällissodan aikana Tulenheimo toimi Kangasalan suojeluskunnan esikunnassa. Tulenheimo osallistui 1930-luvulla näkyvästi Lapuanliikkeen ja Isänmaallisen Kansanliikkeen toimintaan, joten hän suuntautui poliittisesti oikeistolaisemmin kuin useimmat sukulaisensa. Tulenheimo kuului Mäntsälän kapinan (27. helmikuuta – 6. maaliskuuta 1932) johtomiehiin, mistä hänet tuomittiin Turun hovioikeudessa kuuden kuukauden ehdolliseen vankeuteen.

Tulenheimon kuoltua Kangasalan urkutehtaan toimintaa jatkoi vuoteen 1983 saakka hänen poikansa, insinööri Pertti Tulenheimo (1923−1983).

Martti Tulenheimon veljiä olivat lakimies, poliitikko ja professori Antti Tulenheimo (4.12.1879 Kangasala – 3.9.1952 Helsinki), asianajaja Eino Tulenheimo (28. toukokuuta 1885 Kangasala – 2. syyskuuta 1962 Helsinki) ja asianajaja Olli Tulenheimo (24.2.1891 Kangasala – 22.6.1971 Turku). Heidän sisarensa Katri (6.6.1881–21.11.1953) avioitui teologian tohtori ja poliitikko Paavo Virkkusen (vuoteen 1906 Snellman, 27.9.1874 Pudasjärvi – 13.7.1959 Pälkäne) kanssa. Heidän äidinpuoleinen isoisänsä oli valtiopäivämies Agathon Meurman (9.10.1826 Kangasala – 17.1.1909 Helsinki) ja serkkunsa arkkitehti sekä asemakaavaopin professori Otto-Iivari Meurman (4.6.1890 Ilmajoki – 19.8.1994 Helsinki). Tulenheimon puoliso oli lääketieteen lisensiaatti Eva Debora Heman, heidän tyttärensä Eva Eila Tellervo Asztalos (s. 3.7.1918) oli lääkäri ja ekonomi.[1]
