Marian Orzechowski

Marian Orzechowski (24. lokakuuta 1931 Radom[1] – 29. kesäkuuta 2020[2]) oli puolalainen poliitikko ja historioitsija. Hän oli Puolan kansantasavallan ulkoministeri marraskuusta 1985 kesäkuuhun 1988.[1]

Orzechowski valmistui Leningradin valtionyliopistosta historiaa opiskeltuaan vuonna 1955. Hän sai tohtorinarvon vuonna 1961, suoritti habilitaation vuonna 1964 ja pääsi professorin asemaan vuonna 1977. Vuodesta 1955 Orzechowski työskenteli tutkijana ja luennoitsijana Wrocławin yliopistossa, vuosina 1972–1975 sen rehtorina. Hän teki monia julkaisuja modernin Puolan ja poliittisen ajattelun historiasta.[1] Hän sai kunniatohtorin arvon Leningradin valtionyliopistosta.[2]

Orzechowski oli Puolan yhdistyneen työväenpuolueen parlamenttiryhmän johdossa osallistuessaan Puolan pyöreän pöydän neuvotteluihin vuonna 1989.[3][4]
