Lamminranta (Kouvola)

Lamminranta on Kouvolan Kuusankoskella sijaitseva asuinalue ja pienalue, Kymintehtaan kaupunginosassa Kuusaanlammen rannalla. Alueella on 1900-luvun puolivälin tienoilla rakennettuja omakotitaloja, jotka sijaitsevat Ahlmanintieltä kääntyvän Lamminkujan sekä edelleen siitä kääntyvien Lamminrannantien ja Lamminmäentien varrella. Lamminranta sijaitsee Kymijokeen kuuluvan Kuusaanlammen rannalla Sääksniemessä, jonka pohjoispuolelta Kymijoki lähtee lammesta länteen kohti Kuusaata. Kouvolan keskustaajaman maantieteellinen keskipiste sijaitsee Lamminrannan pienalueella, aivan Lamminrannan kylän vieressä. Alue on hieman erillään Kouvolan keskustan ja Kuusankosken taajama-alueista, mutta Kouvolan keskustaan on matkaa vain noin kolme kilometriä. Lähin koulu on Kymintehtaan koulu kahden kilometrin päässä Kuusankosken Takaharjulla ja Kouvolan Urheilupuiston yläasteellekin on matkaa vain kolme kilometriä. Lamminranta kuului vuoteen 2008 asti Kuusankosken kaupunkiin. lähde?
