Gimchaek (kor. 김책시, Gimchaek-si, hanja 金策市, McCune-Reischauer Kimch’aek-si) on kaupunki Korean demokraattisen kansantasavallan eli Pohjois-Korean Pohjois-Hamgyeongin maakunnassa. Se sijaitsee maakunnan eteläosassa Japaninmeren rannikolla. Vuoden 2008 väestönlaskennan mukaan siellä oli 207 299 asukasta.[1]

Kaupunki tunnettiin aiemmin nimellä Seongjin (kor. 성진, Seongjin-si, hanja 城津市, McCune-Reischauer Sŏngjin-si). Se sai nykyisen nimensä vuonna 1952 Korean sodassa kaatuneen Korean kansanarmeijan komentajan Kim Chaekin kunniaksi. Paikkakunta oli alun perin kalastajakylä, joka alkoi kehittyä 1900-luvun vaihteessa sinne avatun sataman ansiosta. 1930-luvulta lähtien se on kasvanut teollisuuskaupunkina, jossa jalostetaan rautaa, magnesiumia ja marmoria.[2]
