Congressional Black Caucus

Black Caucusin perustajajäsenet.

Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) on Yhdysvaltain kongressissa vaikuttava ryhmä, joka ajaa erityisesti afroamerikkalaisten etuja kongressissa. Se perustettiin vuonna 1971. Selkeä enemmistö ryhmän jäsenistä on sen perustamisesta lähtien kuulunut demokraattiseen puolueeseen, mutta sen jäseninä on ollut myös republikaaneja.[1]

Yhdysvaltain 115. kongressissa (2017–19) Black Caucusiin kuului yhteensä 49 jäsentä. Näistä 45 oli edustajainhuoneen edustajia, kaksi senaattoreita ja kaksi ei-äänioikeutettuja kongressiedustajia. Jäsenistä vain yksi (Mia Love, Utah) oli republikaani.[2]
