”Baby” on kanadalaisen poplaulajan Justin Bieberin kappale, joka julkaistiin ensimmäisenä singlenä hänen esikoisalbumiltaan My World 2.0. Bieber on kirjoittanut kappaleen yhdessä Christopher "Tricky" Stewartin, The-Dreamin, Christina Milianin ja Ludacrisin kanssa. Se oli saatavilla digitaalisena latauksena 18. tammikuuta 2010 ja se sai radiosoittoa heti julkaisunsa jälkeen. Kappale on tyylilajiltaan R&B, johon on sekoitettu dancepopin ja hip hopin elementtejä, mutta se on saanut vaikutteita myös doo-wopista.

Kappale on saanut myönteisiä arvioita kriitikoilta, jotka ovat kehuneet muun muassa sen sanoitusta. Kappaleen musiikkivideon tapahtumat sijoittuvat keilahalliin ja video sisältää useita cameoita: videolla esiintyvät muun muassa Drake ja Lil Twist. Heinäkuusta 2010 lähtien se oli videopalvelu YouTuben suosituin video[1], kunnes Psyn Gangnam Style ohitti sen marraskuussa 2012. ”Baby”-videolla on yli miljardi katselukertaa.[2]

Taustaa

Kappale syntyi Bieberin sekä Tricky Stewartin ja The-Dreamin yhteistyönä, joiden kanssa Bieber oli työstänyt myös ensimmäistä singleään ”One Time”. Lisäksi kappaletta työstivät The-Dreamin tuolloinen vaimo, laulaja Christina Milian sekä Ludacris.
