The Highest es el primer EP japonés de la boy band china WayV. Fue lanzado digitalmente el 8 de agosto del 2024 y físicamente el 25 de septiembre del 2025 por Avex Trax. El EP consta de seis pistas, incluido el sencillo principal, "Go Higher".[1]​ Es el segundo lanzamiento consecutivo del grupo sin la participación de Winwin, quien se encontraba en una pausa del grupo debido a conflictos de agenda con sus actividades en solitario.[2]​

Antecedentes y lanzamiento

A principios de mayo de 2024, SM Entertainment confirmó que WayV planeaba lanzar su primer EP japonés en el tercer trimestre del año.[3]​ El 2 de julio, SM Entertainment y Avex Trax anunciaron oficialmente que The Highest se lanzaría el 25 de septiembre de 2024.[1]​ El EP fue lanzado posteriormente en formato digital el 8 de agosto,[4]​ y el lanzamiento físico en Japón fue el 25 de septiembre.[5]​

Desempeño comercial

Dentro de Japón, The Highest debutó en el puesto número uno tanto en el Oricon Albums Chart como en el Oricon Combined Albums Chart durante la semana que finalizó el 29 de septiembre, vendiendo 62 748 copias en su primera semana.[6]​[7]​ En la lista Billboard Japan Hot Albums, el EP debutó en el puesto número dos.[8]​
