El distrito de Autun es un distrito (del francés: arrondissement) de Francia, que se localiza en el departamento de Saona y Loira, de la región de Borgoña (del francés: Bourgogne). Su chef-lieu es la ciudad de Autun.

Historia

Cuando se creó el departamento de Saona y Loira el 17 de febrero de 1800, el distrito de Autun fue uno de los distritos originales.[2]​

Geografía

El distrito de Autun limita al norte con el departamento de Côte-d'Or (región de Borgoña), al este con el distrito de Chalon-sur-Saône, al sur con el distrito de Charolles y al oeste con el departamento de Nièvre (región de Borgoña).

Es el más septentrional de los distritos del departamento y tiene una superficie de 1900.3 km²,[3]​ el segundo mayor del departamento. Tiene una población de 87.762 y una densidad poblacional de 46,2 habitantes/km².[1]​
