Ligna gravurado

Ligna gravurado, lignogravurado aŭ gravurado en ligno estas tekniko de gravurado kiu vidis grandan hegemonion en la 19a jarcento.[1] Estas esencaj diferencoj de karakteroj inter gravurado en ligno kaj ksilografio. Dum ksilografio fariĝas sur lameno de mola ligno uzante guĝojn aŭ aliajn tranĉilojn, en gravurado en ligno la artisto faras la "matricon" "sgrafiante" blokon el ligno per grifelo anstataŭ uzi la menciitajn tranĉilojn, rezulte en la kreado de desegno tre prilaborita (se eblas), produktante ĝenerale pli dikan rezulton. La gravurado en ligno estas ĝenerale pli malgranda kaj ĝi atingas gamon de grizaj koloroj kun granda "burĝonado".
