History
The prototype of M20 MRAP was unveiled by Serbian Defence Ministry in June 2020. It was developed jointly by Military Technical Institute, FAP and Zastava TERVO. M20 is based on FAP 2228 6x6 chassis and uses "CUMMINS ISLe 8.9" engine (power 340 HP), an "ALLISON 3000S" gearbox and a "ZF STEYR 1600/396" drive distributor. It can develop a speed of 95 km/h and overcome climbs of up to 60%. With a full tank (of 200 liters) it can travel up to 600 km.[1][2] First batch of 10 vehicles was delivered to Serbian Army in 2023 and were presented during Granit 2023 military exercise. Serbian army is interested in procurement of up to 224 of these vehicles.[3]
