Wikipedia has many thousands of wikilinks which point to disambiguation pages. It would be useful to readers if these links directed them to the specific pages of interest, rather than making them search through a list. Members of WikiProject Disambiguation have been working on this and the total number is now below 20,000 for the first time. Some of these links require specialist knowledge of the topics concerned and therefore it would be great if you could help in your area of expertise.
Please take a few minutes to help make these more useful to our readers.— Rodtalk20:13, 3 December 2017 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2017-12-03T20:13:00.000Z","author":"Rodw","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Rodw-2017-12-03T20:13:00.000Z-Disambiguation_links_on_pages_tagged_by_this_wikiproject","replies":[],"displayName":"Rod"}}-->

Hi,
I'm working on the Emilia Lanier Wiki page for a final project in a college level course. Consequently, I have become a huge fan of Emilia Lanier, and I want to make her Wiki the best it can be. I was wondering how and when I could have this group reevaluate it's rating. It's currently a C-Class, and I would really like to bring it up to an A or B-Class.

Since the article falls in the purview of Wikipedia:WikiProject Women writers, you might ping Rosiestep who created that project, but note that she is off-wiki until April 27. Hi CarefulCatBird and thank you for improving this article. According to ORES, it's now at B class, so I made the upgrade on the talkpage. Hope you continue to work on the Emilia Lanier article and/or other women writers after you complete your course. Also, please feel free to ping me anytime with questions. I'd be happy to collaborate with you. Happy editing! Hi Rosiestep and SusunW! Thanks so much for all of your help! I'm having fun working on the Lanier project, but I've also decided I need to work on the "Salve Deus Rex Judaeorum" article. "Salve Dues" was Lanier's only published work, and the article was basically a table of contents when I began editing. I was wondering, when you (Rosiestep) regraded the Lanier article, did you regrade it for all of the WikiProjects it was under? I'm asking on behalf of my professor. I also wanted to know so I could decide who to contact to reevaluate the "Salve Deus" article. Thanks again! Hi CarefulCatBird. Regarding the Emilia Lanier article, I upgraded the class to B for all the WikiProjects with this edit using the ORES tool for evaluation. I just took a look at the Salve Deus Rex Judaeorum article, and as ORES predicts the "Permanent link" of the current version is now at "C" level, I upgraded that article with this edit. So happy you are working on these! --Rosiestep (talk) 02:36, 13 April 2018 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2018-04-13T02:36:00.000Z","author":"Rosiestep","type":"comment","level":7,"id":"c-Rosiestep-2018-04-13T02:36:00.000Z-CarefulCatBird-2018-04-12T22:12:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

The reason I am contacting you is because there are one or more portals that fall under this subject, and the Portals WikiProject is currently undertaking a major drive to automate portals that may affect them.
Portals are being redesigned.
The new design features are being applied to existing portals.
At present, we are gearing up for a maintenance pass of portals in which the introduction section will be upgraded to no longer need a subpage. In place of static copied and pasted excerpts will be self-updating excerpts displayed through selective transclusion, using the template {{Transclude lead excerpt}}.
Maintainers of specific portals are encouraged to sign up as project members here, noting the portals they maintain, so that those portals are skipped by the maintenance pass. Currently, we are interested in upgrading neglected and abandoned portals. There will be opportunity for maintained portals to opt-in later, or the portal maintainers can handle upgrading (the portals they maintain) personally at any time.
Since the reboot, the Portals WikiProject has been busy building tools and components to upgrade portals.
So far, 84 editors have joined.
If you would like to keep abreast of what is happening with portals, see the newsletter archive.
If you have any questions about what is happening with portals or the Portals WikiProject, please post them on the WikiProject's talk page.
Thank you. — The Transhumanist11:02, 31 May 2018 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2018-05-31T11:02:00.000Z","author":"The Transhumanist","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-The_Transhumanist-2018-05-31T11:02:00.000Z-Background","replies":[]}}-->

Having worked for 2 years editing articles for Women In Red, a group of organizers have concluded that sourcing is one of the biggest hurdles in creating articles on women and non-binary genders. Though it is true that a lot of sourcing simply doesn’t exist, it is also true that there are sources, but we have no access to them. As these groups did not typically become subjects for academic study until the 1970s, many of the sources are not on line or are behind paywalls. Failure to include women and non-binary people in the encyclopedia presents a one-dimensional view of society and history. To address those issues, we are forming a new User Group aimed at referencing and support for like-minded groups and would appreciate your input or input from your supporters in our organizational process. Others and I have put some effort into improving the article in the last few months, and I hope it now passes muster for a higher rating on the quality scale. September is an exciting new month for Women in Red's worldwide online editathons!
So, I'm trying to decipher just exactly how much damage Llewellyn Press has done to Modern Wicca by constantly infusing new age nonsense in to it. I'm looking for a page referencing the Paleolithic 'Venus' and her probable relationship to the original Goddess worship which predates Baal worship as the world's oldest organized religion.. and how this original Goddess relates to Lilith, Gaia and other archetypal goddesses in the various pantheons.
I've got nothing. Zero, zip, zilch. I found two disambiguation pages on 'the Great Goddess' (which ought to be 'the Goddess - capitol G') and 'Goddess Worship'. Oh, and some academic twits decided to disenfranchise Lilith's legends in to their separate Pantheons, so you can no longer reference them all in one place.
Is this information mislabeled somewhere?? It seems like an AWFUL lot of missing data to simply not exist.

As far as I can tell, the closest thing to what you're looking for is Great Goddess hypothesis. It's not as detailed as you'd probably like it to be, though. Feb 5 is the 38th anniversary of CT Gov. Ella Grasso's passing. "She was the first woman elected to this office and the first woman to be elected governor of a U.S. state without having been the spouse or widow of a former governor." I am very sad that Ella Grasso is a mere start-class biography considering her long public service and large amount of sources available. Moreover, she was a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. Well, no. That is because the category is purely for those pages where |class= is blank or absent. The equivalent category that shows where |importance= is blank or absent is Category:Unknown-importance Women's History articles, and that is where Talk:Suzi Quatro presently appears, since this edit by FlightTime Public (talk·contribs) which set |importance= to a blank. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:23, 13 December 2018 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2018-12-13T21:23:00.000Z","author":"Redrose64","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Redrose64-2018-12-13T21:23:00.000Z-84.46.52.217-2018-12-13T05:37:00.000Z","replies":["c-84.46.53.94-2018-12-14T08:30:00.000Z-Redrose64-2018-12-13T21:23:00.000Z","c-84.46.52.2-2019-02-11T21:04:00.000Z-Redrose64-2018-12-13T21:23:00.000Z"]}}-->

Hi. I am trying to work on a series of articles about Spanish women in the Spanish Civil War so I can more easily identify more notable women where articles can be written, and, because unlike some wars (See World War II), women's involvement in this war is almost non-existent. It also seems very important given the upcoming elections, where on both the left and right, the role of women in Spain has become an issue. I am not as familiar with the topic as I would like to be, and I have not really written broad general articles of this sort in quite some time. If anyone can assist in editing articles with me on my user space until the whole series is ready to go, that would be appreciated. (Or is it better to mainspace them even if the whole series is not mainspace ready? Thoughts?) The ones that are feel almost publish ready that could use a second or third look include:

After figuring out the secrets of {{Vital article}} on talk pages and a quick sanity check (WFM) I wonder why Grace Jones born 1948 is covered by the Women project, while Suzi Quatro born 1950 is covered by this project. Is that as it should be, e.g., nobody cares as long as it is not less and not more than one of both projects, and the historic person is still alive and kicking? That will replace my answered #Importance question, at most one stupid question makes perfect sense for me. –84.46.53.128 (talk) 10:21, 9 March 2019 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-03-09T10:21:00.000Z","author":"84.46.53.128","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-84.46.53.128-2019-03-09T10:21:00.000Z-Women's_History_vs._Women","replies":[]}}-->

A new Newsletter directory has been created to replace the old, out-of-date one. If your WikiProject and its taskforces have newsletters (even inactive ones), or if you know of a missing newsletter (including from sister projects like WikiSpecies), please include it in the directory! The template can be a bit tricky, so if you need help, just post the newsletter on the template's talk page and someone will add it for you.
