Welcome to WikiProject Green Politics. Several Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Green politics and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, please add yourself as a participant in the project, inquire on the talk page, and see the to-do list, below.


Goals

  • Improve Green Party-titled articles
  • Create articles that may be missing
  • Document the history of the movement and the Global Greens, along with the local parties.

Scope

  • Anything that falls under the Green Party or Global Greens banner.

Editing advice

  • If in doubt, discuss it on the article's talk page first.
  • Leaders of registered political parties at the national level are sometimes considered notable despite their party's lack of electoral success. See also - WP:CORP and WP:POLOUTCOMES
  • Be bold when editing!
  • Be sure what you're adding is verifiable!
    (Wikipedia is not for things made up one day)
  • When creating a new article about a national or sub-national Green Party, check if they are a member of the Global Greens. It's good to include in the article!
  • When colour is involved, keep it Green! Keep the shade relevant to the article.
  • Various Green parties use different shades of Green.

Open tasks

  1. Improve US-state Green Party articles
  2. Create articles for US-state Green Parties that do not have them
  3. Research global green parties that need articles created.
