Welcome to the Oregon Arts Project! This project utilizes Wikipedia as a platform for improving coverage of the arts within the U.S. state of Oregon.
About
The Oregon Arts Project, established in August 2013, is an effort to raise awareness about the existence, history, meaning and context of art in Oregon, and to develop detailed articles for individual artists, arts organizations and works. Other tasks completed by project members may involve geolocation, historical research, list creation or photography. The Oregon Arts Project serves as a task force for several WikiProjects, including WikiProject Oregon and WikiProject Public Art. Branches of the project include:
- Literary Arts
- Performing Arts, including the fields of Dance, Music and Theatre
- Visual Arts, including the fields of Architecture, Film, Painting, Photography and Sculpture
The project's Resources page is a repository for references, including links to local arts commissions.
