We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with Wiki Workers United and affirm our willingness to engage in collective action if called upon by WWU.

On May 2026, seven[a] employees of the Wikimedia Foundation were fired. Two were reinstated into other positions, but this raised concerns about union-busting, and the safety of WWU as a group.

On August 2026, proof that the corporation's management was using Littler Mendelson's services (which are known for union-busting) was unveiled.[b] As a result, I made this. This is a Wikipedia meetup to improve as many articles as we can. This is to show both management and our detractors that those in solidarity are among the most valuable contributors to the site.

Someone on a certain talk page, whom I don't remember very well, said that the solidarity editorial strikes movement would be bad for human knowledge. We need to prove them wrong. We need to show what value we can bring, and what value management could lose if we strike.

If the WWU calls for an editorial strike, we should engage in that collective action, and disband this meetup, as the time to strike would then be now.[c]

Article improvements

For now, the main point of this meetup is to improve articles.[d] Please only add an article to this subheading if you improved it after you signed your name above. It should be in the format Example (20.1 kb) → (45.6 kb)

Accepting a draft through Articles for Creation also counts, use Example → for example. For format, writing the Wikitext file size in kilobytes is optional. In fact, writing in that detail is discouraged if improving an article requires pruning or shortening some content.

Please do not move this into a subpage. I want this to look grand, and overwhelming. To really show what we can bring to the table, and inversely, and what they'd be losing by alienating WWU.
