Indian politician
V Satish (Satish Velankar) is the Indian politician and the National Organiser of the Bharatiya Janata Party.[1] Currently he is in-charge of West-Zone (Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra) and Andhra Pradesh, Bharitya Janata Party.[2] He is Full-time Worker, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and has been the senior functionary for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.[3]
Early life and education
Born in Nagpur district of Maharashtra on 23 May 1954.[4] He hails from Parbhani in Maharashtra. Educated from Shri Shivaji College, Parbhani.[5]
Career
Satish was actively involved in the activities of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and RSS in the northeastern region before transitioning to the BJP Assam Unit. He held the position of Zonal Organizing Secretary for ABVP within the North East Zone.
At present, he serves as the National Organizer for the BJP under the leadership of J. P. Nadda.[6][7][8][9] Also, he serves as a chief coordinator of the Party's training committee.[10] Previously, he held the role of Joint National General Secretary (Organization).[1]
