Hi Watchdevil. I appreciate the thanks you've been sending on the changes I've been making to the Ford Fairmont page. I see that you've already done a lot of work on that page, so it's reassuring to know someone familiar with the topic agrees with your edits, especially if they're significant. Thanks for your work.Kumboloi (talk) 19:31, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2018-09-28T19:31:00.000Z","author":"Kumboloi","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Kumboloi-2018-09-28T19:31:00.000Z-Ford_Fairmont_page","replies":[]}}-->
Please sign your messages on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically insert your "signature" (your username and a date stamp). The or button, on the tool bar above Wikipedia's text editing window, also does this.
If you would like to play around with your new Wiki skills without changing the mainspace, the Sandbox is for you.

Hi Watchdevil. Could you please let me know why it is important to use endashes instead of normal dashes? Please understand that I am trying to remember to use endashes, but sometimes a dash accidentally slips in, just out of habit. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 07:23, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-03-09T07:23:00.000Z","author":"1292simon","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-1292simon-2019-03-09T07:23:00.000Z-Endashes","replies":[]}}-->
Using the endashes are part of Wikipedia guidelines for listing from–to model years. I cannot find the specific article about it at the moment as these things always get buried under layers and layers of information. Best advice is to follow the style of the good articles and read up on guidelines for automobile pages. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_AutomobilesWatchdevil (talk) 15:02, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-03-09T15:02:00.000Z","author":"Watchdevil","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Watchdevil-2019-03-09T15:02:00.000Z-Endashes","replies":[]}}-->
