Reference Errors on 29 December
Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the Miscegenation page, your edit caused an unnamed parameter error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:22, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
Discussion and consensus ..attribution Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia
Every article on Wikipedia has a talk page, reached by clicking the Talk tab just above the title (for example, Talk:Miscegenation). There, editors can discuss improvements to the content of an article. You can participate too! If you ever make a change that gets reverted by another editor, discuss the change on the talk page! The BOLD, revert, discuss cycle is a popular method of reaching consensus, and may be useful for identifying objections, keeping discussion moving forward and helping to break deadlocks. Some editors will see any reversion as a challenge, so be considerate and patient. While discussing matters, it is very important that you conduct yourself with civility and assume good faith on the part of others. Edit warring (repeatedly overriding or reimplementing contributions) is highly discouraged. There is a bright-line rule called the three-revert rule, the violation of which may lead someone to be blocked from editing to prevent further disruption. Disruptive editing is not always intentional, as new editors may simply not understand the ins and outs of Wikipedia.

- problem solved. If you have a problem with a specific part of my edit, then only delete that part and not everything else.Voekt (talk) 02:03, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
- Perhaps you should bring this up on the talk page(as mentioned above) or the person your having trouble with. Be careful of the three-revert rule. Best to talk things out...as has been started on the tlak page. -- Moxy (talk) 02:25, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Voekt, you are invited to the Teahouse!
Hi Voekt! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Come join other new editors at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a space where new editors can get help from other new editors. These editors have also just begun editing Wikipedia; they may have had similar experiences as you. Come share your experiences, ask questions, and get advice from your peers. I hope to see you there! Jtmorgan (I'm a Teahouse host) This message was delivered automatically by your robot friend, HostBot (talk) 16:22, 30 December 2014 (UTC) |
Adding complete URLs
Hello. When adding URLs to citations as you did in Dutch diaspora with this edit, the URL parameter of the citation must contain the complete URL.
For example, instead of |url=/books?ei=YHLxTpe6G4nj0QHjtsm3Ag&id=_XglAQAAIAAJ&dq=hambroek+daughter&q=one+sweet+young+seized+harem,
it should be |url=http://books.google.com/books?ei=YHLxTpe6G4nj0QHjtsm3Ag&id=_XglAQAAIAAJ&dq=hambroek+daughter&q=one+sweet+young+seized+harem.
Specifically, the URL parameter should contain the protocol and the domain as well as the individual page. I've fixed all of them on Dutch diaspora.
Thanks, — TheJJJunk (say hello) 17:54, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- I also fixed them all on Dutch Formosa. — TheJJJunk (say hello) 18:02, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
Referencing
Would you consider looking into the use of Template:sfnp and Template:harvp? Hongthay (talk) 21:57, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
It can wait until after I'm finished, then convert the references to sfnp and harvp. I need to add more stuff about the Dutch relations with the Vietnamese.Voekt (talk) 22:21, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
