I only just realised that you have yet to receive a formal welcome, so I thought I'd rectify that oversight. I'm sure you've already seen a few of the links I've given above, but they're here just in case. Keep up the good work! --Deathphoenix ʕ 18:34, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, I'm glad you noticed that. Thomasiscool 22:35, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Your RfA
Good evening (GMT time); I'd just like to say I'm sorry about the outcome of your RfA, which unfortuantly did not succeed. This happens to lots of users each day - they become quite fond of Wikipedia, and all of a sudden decide their ready for the mop and bucket. Your not the first, and you most certainly won't be the last.
My advice is to get involved in some anti-vandalism patrol - be on the lookout for vandalism in recent changes; perhaps you could join the Welcoming Committee which aims to welcome all of the new users Wikipedia receives each minute. Finally, get yourself over to XfD Debates, and try to get involved there: 5/6 posts each day should suffice.
In general, remember that administratorship *isn't a big deal* (to quote our founder); it's simply a few extra tools that we get if we need them, lose if we abuse them and give up if we don't need them. It's not an extra show, and there are plenty of users out there who are not admins (for example - I'm not), and a lot of them are decent, honest and upstanding. So just forget about sysopship, adminship or whatever you want to call it - if you deserve it, you will get it.
If ever you have any problems or want a chat, don't hesitate to jump over to my talk page where I'll happily answer your questions.
Kind regards,
Anthonycfc [T • C] 00:42, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll try to get involved in that. Maybe I'll try another RfA sometime, once I've done some of that and my edit count has gone up. Thanks again, Thomasiscool 23:31, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Alex Mitchell
An editor has nominated Alex Mitchell, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alex Mitchell and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Help with RFC
Hello fellow Wikipedia:WikiProject_Nova_Scotia member. I have recently lodged a Request for Comments on the Talk:Halifax, Nova Scotia page. I and several other editors have had a running dispute with user Lonewolf BC. The RFC is This is a dispute about whether it is accurate to continue to refer to the area of or approximately coinciding with the boundaries of the City of Halifax, which became a part of the rural/urban Halifax Regional Municipality in 1996, as a city.
Basically, as I say on the RFC, we all agree that this is no longer a City, but to use former City's boundaries when describing the current urban area as a "city" (note the lower case) is at best arbitrary and at worst a fabrication. The city is now a continuous area that wraps the harbour, from Portuguese Cove (outside of the city of Halifax to the west and south) to Cole Harbour (outside of the former City of Dartmouth to the east). People now refer to the entire urban area of Halifax Regional Municipality as 'the city' and 'Halifax'.
Anyway, the bottom line is at least five people have tried to change the wording of the intro since January, and every time this one user changes it back. I have tried to come up with compromise wording, and he won't dialog. Right now wikipedia says HRM and Halifax are the capital of Nova Scotia. This article is now factually incorrect, in my opinion, and I need your help, please chime in. WayeMason 23:10, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- I have now posted a comment on the discussion page (April 7) and will continue to discuss the issue. Glad I could help. Thomasiscool 00:39, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! Can you move your comments to the comment section at the top though? :) WayeMason 01:00, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I'll put them there from now on. Thanks. Thomasiscool 22:49, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!
"I'd like to thank the Acadamy". I was quite moved to get that barnstar, and it was only slightly ameliorated by trying to explain why it was important to me to my wife, who kinda stared at me blankly, then smiled that small you are such a nerd smile. :) WayeMason 00:24, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Its something only us nerds can understand :) Thomasiscool 00:27, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I had to revert your edit. The current NS Route 4 is the old Highway 104 that was bypassed by the Cobequid Pass Toll Highway. It is Route 4 that goes through Wentworth. Andrew647 13:47, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
