Hi, welcome to wikipedia. In the sandbox, you just put an image in. Great, I practice with images in the sandbox too, but it is a good idea to remove them immediately after you see the test's worked, or the page takes ages and ages to load. This could put off potential editors. So please remove pix after practicing in the sandbox. Thanks,--Honeycake17:50, 24 Nov 2004 (UTC)
...Indeed... I meant it to be a thumbnail. --Theodore Kloba 18:12, Nov 24, 2004 (UTC)
P.S.: Did you notice the time difference between my image experiment and your talk comment above? I think it was a matter of Seconds. When Sandbox Policeman becomes a paying position, you'll have it made.
First of all, thanks for the bottompostusertalk template. As for the new template, I'd like to say that "click here" is frowned upon by the W3C as it implies particular browser user agent technologies. It can in particular be offensive (and also irrelevant) to those who read it in Braille or via a text-to-speech. In the context of a printed page (Wikireader) "click here" is also meaningless; now within a talk page this is not a issue, but for people with sight problems/disabilities this is an unnecessarily hurting text; I suggest to find a better wording. E.g., "follow this link", or just anchor the words "start the new topic", maybe just the "start", maybe add an exclamation sign...
Also, perhaps a reminder to use the automatic signature means would also be a good idea if you think of what else can be put in.
Thanks, BACbKA. I didn't realize that click here is deprecated; in fact it's part of the {{sandbox}} template, so I figured it was OK. I'll tinker with the template a bit, but feel free to improve it as you see fit. --Theodore Kloba 22:03, Dec 22, 2004 (UTC)
The new one is much better! Thank you, I have switched to it. BACbKA 09:48, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Thanks for the update on your new template. I must say I like the wording of the old one, as getting new users to post at the bottom of the talk page with headers is still a concern. --Viriditas | Talk 00:20, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
If they click on the new topic link, they will automatically create a headline at the bottom of the page. --Theodore Kloba 16:11, Dec 23, 2004 (UTC)
I agree about 'sets of free reeds' being awkward. That aspect of the H-S system bothers me, but I had decided to go with it just to be more standard. But if it bothers other people too, it makes sense to me to bend the classifications a bit. I'll add them to 'Free reed aerophones'.
Hi Theodore - the article Stelmužė cites 2,000 years as the age for the tree, but the external link listed there says:
"Jo aukštis tik 23 metrai, o į šakas ąžuolas įrašė per 1500 savo metų, istorijos puslapius ir šios žemės gyventojų likimus."
I can't read Lithuanian, but the figure of '1500' suggests to me it is reported there as 1500 years. Can you clarify what appears to be a discrepancy? - Thanks, MPF 1 July 2005 16:22 (UTC)
Thanks for the details; I think for the article it would be better to use the more conservative estimate, rather than the maximum guess. As a general rule, old trees are rarely as old as people like to claim them to be! - MPF 1 July 2005 17:10 (UTC)
I don't think it's correct to say that "National codes, such as the NEC or CSA C22.2, may be considered to be implementations of the objectives of IEC 60364." I think NEC predates IEC. --Theodore Kloba 14:23, July 21, 2005 (UTC)
You're right, of course, I'll have to rephrase that. I meant to say that the NEC was an example of a national standard that meets the common objectives contained in IEC60364. --Wtshymanski17:21, 21 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2005-07-21T17:21:00.000Z","author":"Wtshymanski","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Wtshymanski-2005-07-21T17:21:00.000Z-Electrical_Wiring","replies":[]}}-->
Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Terem Quartet, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently-created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Hello, I have noticed that you are interested in Lithuania so I thought hat you might support our letter to Centre for Cartography, Vilnius University. We are asking to release their maps found at www.balticdata.info under GFDL licence so they could be used in articles about Lithuania. So far we got 14 people to "sign" it. The draft in very very rough English is available at user:Renata3/letter. If you decide to support it, I'll need just your first and last names (which is also your user name, right?) It is an attempt to gather all Wikipedians interested in Lithuania and Lithuania-related topics. It could be a central place for discussions. If interested, put yourself on the guest book and add the portal, portal talk, and Portal:Lithuania/Questions to your watch list. I would welcome any suggestions or any actual improvements to the portal.

I am intending to remove the Polish and German names for Taurage again. Please take the time to understand my rationale for doing so. First, it is not to create dissention or cause edit wars. Secondly, there is a Polish article, and a German article linked to Taurage, therefore if someone needs to know what the names of the city are in those languages, they are easily obtainable. I have been in contact with some Polish editors and have reached a small compromise, in that those cities that were in Poland between 1918-1939, can and should have the different names in the lead of the article. If there is a "significant basis" to include the non-Lithuanian name in the article itself, it can and should be added. I will wait for your response before I make the change. Thank you. Image copyright problem with Image:Terem_Quartet.jpg
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
I just have some questions if anyone might be able to answer them:
Is it possible for someone to hook up to another persons phone and electrial wiring if they live next door? Is there a way they can tap into your phone line and electricity w/out even knowing it? If so what are some of the methods of finding out how they are doing it, and how to go about prooving it to the local phone and or electric company. I would appreciate any help that you could provide. Thanks again 15:57, 2 September 2006 (UTC)~Tulok02
Theodore, I am sorry that my action distressed you. My reasoning was that because nothing is ever lost (everyone can just look at history), it was probably better to just delete all the examples. I think articles should inform and giving a plethora of examples of diminitives seems redundant and could take an enormous amount of room...how many languages are there in the world? Giving examples in many languages is not informing readers IMHO. I did not intend to demean the work that was done in listing so many examples, but improve the article and WIKI. Again, nothing personal was intended. Cheers. An image you uploaded, Image:Zeme-herbas.png, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 17:55, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Raseiniskiai.ogg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hello Theodore Kloba! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Theodore, just took a look at your stub article on potheads (as electrical components) and I think you did a great job. I hadn't gotten around to putting something together and wasn't planning to anytime soon, in part because I wanted to get help with the definition. I think you knocked this one out of the park and I can't add or change anything to make it better than what you have. Theodore, since you're an EE, you might want to tackle creating a stub for peckerhead (motor wiring termination box) which was also listed on my to-do page.
