Hello Ss112, I was browsing my watchlist and I noticed you have been updating articles with the ARIA End of Year charts (and thank you for that) but it looks like the URL you've been using is a dead link that goes to an error page. I'm not sure maybe the URL may have changed since you first visited the page, but the correct one (as of right now) should be http://www.aria.com.au/aria-charts-end-of-year-charts-top-100-singles-2015.htm and http://www.aria.com.au/aria-charts-end-of-year-charts-top-100-albums-2015.htm. It looks like you've just added an extra "/pages" path to the link causing it to break. Hi, I don't remember us "being over this" ;) I haven't edited anything The 1975-related in a while. Anyway, I trust you that this ARIA-employed source is reliable and I'm letting it go – especially that there is a similar case with UK chart positions over 100 and Zobbel.de as the source. In regards to this edit and its edit summary, you say there's no need for a comma; however, per the manual style of dates, commas are to follow a complete date. So, therefore, the comma is needed at all-times. livelikemusictalk!01:17, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-02-12T01:17:00.000Z","author":"Livelikemusic","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Livelikemusic-2016-02-12T01:17:00.000Z-Just_a_note...","replies":[]}}-->

As for the revert, why are you only reverting mine when other date formats on that exact same table are equally wrong (Billboard, Czech Digital, etc.)? You could also correct/revert them while you're at it but you're only correcting mine for some reason. Or should I take this as some kind of tit-for-tat response to my revert on you last Wednesday? -- Lk95 19:08, 18 March 2016 (CET)

It was wrong of me to assume that "The Life" was a promotional single simply for being a free track. However, I know for a fact that not all promotional singles remain that way forever. If the song does pick up popularity, then the chances of the song becoming a single increase. This is what happened to the song "Wildest Dreams" by Taylor Swift. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raul1798 (talk • contribs) 04:06, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-03-30T04:06:00.000Z","author":"Raul1798","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Raul1798-2016-03-30T04:06:00.000Z-Raul1798-2016-03-29T23:01:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

In my opition it is bad. Just 10 countries is nonsense. About 20 official charts is ok. Some countries no inlude charts but inlude certfyfications so for exemple you never will see Poland or Mexico ceryfications. Why you decided to put some of the singles into the tab and some under it? It doesn't make sense?! Rocket didn't chart and is listed in the tab, why? Same as bowser and if it aint dutch. Second point: i deleted dont stop the madness because it was already mentioned in the chart history and the header "otjer singles" describes the tracks which were released beside the ones which were in the chart. Third point: i thought myself a list like i did it would be way more clear, but if you think an unclear discography would be better please give me a good reason!--Q1q2q3qwertz (talk) 20:10, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-04-21T20:10:00.000Z","author":"Q1q2q3qwertz","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Q1q2q3qwertz-2016-04-21T20:10:00.000Z-W&W","replies":[]}}-->

I understand what you're saying but Joel Whitburn uses #1xx in his books (seen here, here and here), which are frequently used to source the Bubbling Under peaks, and he's an expert on the Billboard charts. When the Bubbling Under chart was published in Billboard magazine, they used #1xx (seen here and here). #1xx has long been used in discographies on Wikipedia, including featured discographies like Disturbed discography, Godsmack discography, Metallica discography, Pearl Jam discography and Pet Shop Boys discography. I've yet to see a discussion on the Bubbling Under peaks establish a clear consensus. So i can only be stick on French charts,is that right?Cause my interest is editing charts all over the world.....
Also, you have edited French chart, and also other chart too, so is that against Wikipedia policy?Or it's just against Wikipedia policy when you copy other's people references?
last, what's the thing about "wrong format"? Is that important when you are writing references? Why it can't be "May 23, 2016|accessdate=May 21, 2016", but "23 May 2016|accessdate=21 May 2016"?

As much as I disagree with it, I have been referring to the Bubbling Under chart separately (see here, here and here), and in some cases other editors have been changing my edits back (see here). In the case of Blake Shelton's discography, I was in a hurry and decided to be consistent with the ten other bubbling peaks that none of the hundreds of other editors who've touched the page in the last eight years have taken issue with, including CloversMallRat, who moved the peak from the other charted songs table to the main singles table here. I disagree with you that 'Australian Singles Chart' should be used where other chart table entries are e.g. UK Singles Chart. 'Australian Singles Chart' is too ambiguous for the period from mid 1988 (when ARIA began producing their own chart after diverging from the Kent Music Report) chart until 1998 (when the Kent Report Chart ceased publication). According to your user page you are 24 years old, and so I don't expect you to be aware that at the time there was major confusion between the two charts on which one was accurate/'official' (e.g. see http://chartbeat.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/25-years-ago-this-week-june-26-1988.html ). Rage, for example, used the ARIA chart for their top 50/60 countdown, while Video Hits used the Kent/Australian Music Report chart right though until it ceased publication, as did Smash Hits. I think using 'Australia (ARIA)' is fine though; however, contrary to your message on my talk page, parentheses are not solely used to indicate the publisher of the chart, e.g. for the Billboard charts they are often used to specify which chart the peak is from.Nqr9 (talk) 00:22, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-06-14T00:22:00.000Z","author":"Nqr9","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Nqr9-2016-06-14T00:22:00.000Z-Using_'Australian_Singles_Chart'","replies":[]}}-->

@J Bar: Various forums have people who are in the know (as they usually associate with people who work for ARIA) and inform people ahead of time, like at australian-charts.com, but as that's a forum and an "unreliable source" per Wikipedia referencing standards I rarely directly cite it, although I use it as a general reference too. Hi Ss112. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. @Mudwater: The "M" and the additional details (URL, title, work, typical parameters for Template:Cite web but within the album chart template) that I added to the reference to manually cite another webpage instead of calling Billboard's artist pages directly. I removed the karateka stuff because I found it unverifiable. Googling "anne-marie nicholson shotokan" brings up only results that contain the phrase "three-time world champion", and frankly I now think it was a test on Echo Talent Agency to see which journalists copied it which I walked right into; the amount of karateka she's actually been involved in isn't worth a mention. (edit conflict)These sort of firms are notorious for stretching the truth to smithereens. Either that or she took such a devastating blow in one of her matches it interfered with her memory, causing her to tell the agency a load of rubbish. (I don't know anything about karate.) Without details of the championship itself, I would argue that it qualifies as a BLP violation. I suspect changing it to words to the effect of "Nicholson has practiced shotokan since she was nine, credits this with teaching her discipline (which I think comes from Irish News) but does not have time to practice it as frequently due to touring restraints."--Launchballer16:19, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-08-02T16:19:00.000Z","author":"Launchballer","type":"comment","level":4,"id":"c-Launchballer-2016-08-02T16:19:00.000Z-Ss112-2016-08-02T16:07:00.000Z","replies":["c-Ss112-2016-08-02T16:22:00.000Z-Launchballer-2016-08-02T16:19:00.000Z"],"displayName":"Laun"}}-->

Hi, in regards to your message you left, I do completely see your point with the unnecessary appending of (album) to the title of Civil Dusk. As I am a novice, I believed that titles had to have their category appended within the title name, however I see this is not the point of such appendages and should instead be used for articles that share core names with other articles. This was a mistake and most definitely could have been avoided had I read up more on the nomenclature however it was not simply to have the credit for creating the page, in fact I did not realise until after I had published the article that there was an existing one named Civil Dusk. Completely my fault and definitely could have been avoided, thank you for the experience and I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused in requiring a page move. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JacksonVD2 (talk • contribs) 07:59, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-08-12T07:59:00.000Z","author":"JacksonVD2","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-JacksonVD2-2016-08-12T07:59:00.000Z-re:_Civil_Dusk","replies":[]}}-->

Regardless of what way is the right way to write it, she wrote is as 80s. That means it is the way it should be written on her page.
Unfortunately, one of my biggest complaints about WP is that others use it as a source for their sites, which then get cycled back into WP as sources. And when there is wrong information, it gets repeated often enough to "make it true". So, now, regardless of who was first, there are numerous sources out there that are calling it 80's.

I actually managed to catch the UK chart for a change, so thought I'd help out. I didn't realise that one person was assigned to doing this all, so if this is the case, or you would rather just be the responsible person, then I am happy for you to do this. Let me know. Apologies, it wasn't meant to sound sarcastic - I genuinely just wondered whether you just preferred to make all these edits yourself. Seems silly for me to go on to Imagine Dragons discography page, for example, make the change, and then for you to then go and do the same only to find out that I have already done it (or vice versa). Hi. Thanks for your notice. However, if albums sales are from the National Federation of Phonograph Producers (NFPF) (such as here, here and here) and digital charts are based on one more retailer, as it was done with Yandex.Music and Muz.ru, should I add them? There were also the old Billboard Russia charts, which seemed to be official. Hey, I've noticed you around in my Watchlist and around the pages that I've created pertaining to songs and music and all that. It seems that you really enjoy editing chart positions of current songs, which is wonderful! Because of your experience in editing / expanding / creating pop music pages, I would like to invite you to comment on an ongoing discussion regarding the creation/move of an article about Ariana Grande's single Side to Side (song) (Discussion is in Talk:Side to Side (song)). Hi, I recently added a section to User talk:Wozza20, and after looking at the history of the talk page (this user regularly blanks any comments left on their talk page), I see that you've had a few issues with this user's edits to discography pages. Whilst I haven't taken a look through their recent editing history (which seems to be mostly sandbox edits anyway), by chance I discovered that they'd added a (presumably good faith) false Australian chart peak of #70 for Counting Crows' "Einstein on the Beach (For an Eggman)" to the Counting Crows discography page, when it actually missed the top 100. Presumably Wozza20 took the (unreferenced) peak from the wikipedia page for the single, which had that it peaked at #70 in Australia (until I recently removed this). This suggests to me that Wozza20 is adding such peaks to discography tables without having sighted references first-hand, which is bad practice, I think. You seem to be more of a moderator/discography page watcher than I am, so I thought I'd bring this to your attention to keep in mind when/if monitoring this user's other edits.
This user's frequent blanking of their talk page gave me the initial impression that it's a user no other wikipedia user has had an issue with, so they must be a 'good' wikipedia contributor, until I remembered that I'd actually left a comment on it before, which was no longer there.Nqr9 (talk) 04:29, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-09-03T04:29:00.000Z","author":"Nqr9","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Nqr9-2016-09-03T04:29:00.000Z-Wozza20","replies":["c-Ss112-2016-09-03T04:42:00.000Z-Nqr9-2016-09-03T04:29:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Nqr9: Yeah, I don't really understand the talk page blanking or really, the purpose of the majority of his edits. It's just re-formatting discographies to his personal taste. He might improve on a few elements like adding (currently) functional references, but the bulk of it is his personal preference for what discographies should look like. Occasionally he removes (links to) singles and albums outright, as he did at Deep Purple discography. You're right though, it is bad practice to be adding peaks or carrying them over without having sourced them himself, considering many song pages on Wikipedia contain erroneous information that escapes notice for months, sometimes years, so I'll be on the lookout for that now too. Thanks. One thing that bugged me about an edit he did for one discography page on my watch list was he replaced screen-shot references I'd added for Irish chart peaks and UK BPI certifications (where the search results pages from the original sites cannot be directly linked, and in the case of the BPI site, the search page URL has changed, rending many previous citations for this site now invalid) with the generic search page links for these sites. It didn't seem like an improvement at all to me; your comment about him editing pages to suit his own personal preferences (often for the worse) seems right.Nqr9 (talk) 04:50, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-09-03T04:50:00.000Z","author":"Nqr9","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Nqr9-2016-09-03T04:50:00.000Z-Ss112-2016-09-03T04:42:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Hi, just a note to alert you that when you use formatting of the form e.g. singlechart|UKsinglesbyname|63|artist=Rolling Stones|accessdate=18 June 2016 (I've left the opening and closing braces off) in singles chart tables, it generates an Official Charts URL that is out of date. In this example, for The Rolling Stones' "Rock and a Hard Place", it generates the URL http://www.officialcharts.com/artist/_/Rolling%20Stones ; however, the current URL for the Official Charts Rolling Stones' page is http://www.officialcharts.com/artist/28195/rolling%20stones/ . While clicking the automatically generated reference leading to the old URL redirects to the new one currently, I suspect that at some point in the future, this may not occur.Nqr9 (talk) 09:14, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2016-09-08T09:14:00.000Z","author":"Nqr9","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Nqr9-2016-09-08T09:14:00.000Z-Formatting_when_adding_UK_chart_peak_to_table","replies":["c-Ss112-2016-09-08T09:18:00.000Z-Nqr9-2016-09-08T09:14:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Nqr9: I've rewritten my message twice now, because I'm confused. Are you asking me not to use UKsinglesbyname? I usually use UKsinglesbyname for older artists, as using the date-based UK entry is just as liable to becoming unusable, and because I'm not updating them at the time they occur. I'm aware that the URL changes from the blank artist-based parameter to one with a number, but plenty of instances of using the singlechart template do this. The Belgian charts use specific numbers to archive songs and albums that are not covered by the singlechart template for them currently, but still using the artist and song/album parameters gets one there. I suspect that if using UKsinglesbyname becomes out of date, then many other users and pages will have more problems on their hands than just me. URLs go dead all the time. If that happens, then I'm sure users here (myself included) will deal with/adjust that when it occurs.
