I do not understand, I am not the person who added about the song being the lead single the second time, after receiving the first alert to not include that information without a verified source. Also, I have sourced a discussion of her tattoo appropriately. Further, I am not the person who called it "an empowerment anthem" or whatever else. I saw that too and thought it was strange. All I have been doing is trying to add reliable information on the song as it is released, and make edits to improve grammar and readability. I do not appreciate your accusations when I am still learning how to provide quality edits and contribute to the Wikipedia community. Update: I just saw now that you have accused me of adding "writer credits" when I did not. You must be confused, and if someone else is editing things anonymously, you can't just assume it is me. All the edits that I have contributed to this page are public and with full intention for reliability. Also there is no need to use foul language with me or have an accusatory tone.HaysonDage (talk) 03:40, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2020-03-04T03:40:00.000Z","author":"HaysonDage","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-HaysonDage-2020-03-04T03:40:00.000Z-Demi_Lovato_\"I_Love_Me\"","replies":[]}}-->
Another update: I have now added that it is a lead single, cause I just read in a Billboard article that it is described as her "first lead single" to a "full-length studio album." I have sourced it appropriately as well. I hope this shows you that I am adding only reliable information with citations. Just please do not assume all edits made on this page are from me. Thank you.

I think your edit summary ([2]) in response to BrandNew Jim Zhang seems a bit WP:UNCIVIL. I'm not saying that you meant to do that or whatever, but it could definitely be (mis)construed as such. @Bait30: Perhaps, but BrandNew Jim Zhang, in their hurry to add the latest Pitchfork review to whichever article, disregards the pre-existing reference style (WP:CITEVAR), adds misformatted dates, uses publisher= where website= or work= should be used, and that's just the start of it. It is far from their first time doing so. I've silently corrected their edits on other articles before, and it was time I said something—whether in a summary or on their talk page, it would have been the same thing. It's just lazy. I know, it really is on the verge of being disruptive editing, but like they say, two wrongs don't make a right. Hi, some certifications for Portugal have been added to Little Mix’s single pages for both ‘Touch’ and ‘Shout Out To My Ex’, I’ve tried checking their source to assure they’re authentic but the link just will not load for me on any device. I don’t want to assume and remove them without properly checking, so I was wondering if you could quickly take a look as they might work for you?
Hope that won’t be too much hassle, thanks Lmarmy (talk) 19:25, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2020-03-06T19:25:00.000Z","author":"Lmarmy","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Lmarmy-2020-03-06T19:25:00.000Z-Portuguese_Certifications.","replies":["c-Ss112-2020-03-07T21:34:00.000Z-Lmarmy-2020-03-06T19:25:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Lmarmy: If memory serves me correctly, I don't think that link has worked for some time. I saw you built the article for "Music To Be Murdered By" by Eminem. The new NBA YoungBoy album has been out for about two and a half weeks. It was the most streamed album of the week, and it charted 7 different songs onto the Hot 100. Yet it still hasn't gotten an article yet. Was wondering if you could do it. @Nikki Lee 1999: Done. In future though, you don't need to go to five different users' talk pages to try and have an article started on it—I'm usually open to suggestions on articles to create, and I think out of the users you did ask, I'm the most receptive to said suggestions. I see you left messages on Damntcsarg and Rangel Carregosa's talk pages, users who frequent pop music topics and thus would be quite unlikely to start an article for a rapper's mixtape. Prefall, from my understanding, is not overly active in music specifically aside from improving Mac Miller's articles. BenKor hasn't edited since last month, Lk95 is unlikely to make an article for a topic somebody else has made a redirect for unless they have an interest in the material themselves, and Fejkxk looks like they only intermittently work on articles they're interested in themselves. So you can just ask me if you want. @Beatleswillneverdie: Fantastic logic. "Every song on this artist's other release has an article, this should too". Basically every song off of Don't Smile at Me is a single. "Ilomilo" isn't on that EP, and it's just an album track. Not every Billie Eilish song needs its own article. And even after @Davidwr: telling you so below, you go and reinstate the link to Ilomilo (Billie Eilish song) on When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, copying Sulfurboy's edit summary. @Davidwr: Then I believe you should redirect Ilomilo (Billie Eilish song) while Draft:Ilomilo (song) exists. We don't need two copies of the same thing to exist even now. Sulfurboy reinstated the article for Ilomilo, and seems to feel slighted that I redirected something that they accepted through AfC, when it never should have been accepted in the first place. Sulfurboy believes the article passes WP:NSONGS as is when it clearly does not. There is not substantial independent coverage of the song, and the only criteria it may meet is "Has been ranked on national or significant music or sales charts. (Note again that this indicates only that a song may be notable, not that it is notable.)" (emphasis added) Three low chart positions is not clear notability, and that's all this has going for it. The song is an album track, not a single, and has not achieved anything outside of the album. It doesn't need an article. @Beatleswillneverdie: They weren't just created, and I didn't click through to their articles. They were made several months ago. Its still 13 March 2020 here also so that's why I wrote that access date. I would gladly appreciate some tips also regarding adding peaks, if it was something I missed out on. Also, I'm very impressed by how quick you are adding the peaks, I didn't stand a chance, haha. Have a nice weekend! Just noted you wrote on my talk page. I sincerely apologize for my interfering, I did not mean any harm.
I saw you recently edited the article for Your Life Is a Record so I wanted to invite you to weigh in on a dispute I'm currently having over formatting the tracklisting for it with another editor who created the page and imposed his own 'style' that it apparently clashes with. Would love to have additional feedback on this matter.

Hello again! I was just curious why you removed the Billboard AAA chart single ranking for the song everything i wanted. Was the chart ranking too low on the chart to be added on or possibly a different reason? I can use the same logic then for further singles I edit. Hello S. I got your ping. Thanks for bringing this to AB's attention. Just so you know the instructions for the template used to mention putting them in the ref section. That did get changed but several long term editors can be unaware of that change. We can ask them, politely, to put them at the top of the article but it may take them awhile to get used to doing it differently. Now if we could also get them to stop putting "bare url templates template" inside "multiple issue templates" fixing them would be much easier. Regards. Hi again. Since one of the areas you focus on is music articles I wonder if you would take a look at this thread Template talk:AllMusic#Set field question. In my work one of the things I encounter from time to time is music articles that have been tagged with a bare url template. I run refill and it says that there are none to fix. When I check further I find an Allmusic template with the "pure url field" set to yes. Of course that displays a bare url in the reference section even though the reference is in a cite template. Then I set the field to "no" like this and the ref displays properly. I am hoping that the template can be changed so that the "no" is the default. That would save some time in fixing bare urls. I know that work goes into creating templates like that so I wouldn't touch them myself for fear of messing them up. If you don't know whether this can be changed or not no worries. Thanks for your time. Hello! I have seen on some recent articles that editors are placing projected RS charts in the chart sections. As far as I’m aware of, only finalized charts from RS is fine to use. But WP:RSCHART is only an essay, so just wanted to ask you if I am doing the right thing when removing projected peaks. Thank you in advance. @DariuZzandor: I'm well aware WP:RSCHART is an essay. But the logic is pretty simple: Why would we include a chart that is projected and not final? It's basically speculation until it's final, which we don't do on Wikipedia per WP:SPECULATION. @TheAmazingPeanuts: I don't think it's "necessary" in most cases to collapse track lists, and I don't believe we should in most cases per MOS:NOHIDE. @TheAmazingPeanuts: I'm not getting involved with the ping at the After Hours talk page; it doesn't look it will go anywhere anyway, as Koavf has now removed the collapsed= option from Module:Track listing here (probably because he looked at my edits and saw this thread). If you agree that there are some cases where collapsing should be allowed, then perhaps ask a user with template editor permissions or an admin to revert Koavf. Besides that, he's pointing to a years-old archived thread. I agree in most cases collapsing should not happen, but forcing all to appear is heavy-handed and would need a new consensus. As you're most involved in this matter currently, this is why I'm saying you should ask. So I have a doubt regarding the Hungary charts since there are 4 different of those Template:Single_chart#Non-Billboard_charts. I wonder if in an article we can use them all or we just use the stream when the song doesn't make it into the single charts, and should't the single one be the main instead of the radio? I'm asking you since you edit charts more than anyone else I know on wikipedia and very likely have more experience regarding this, I was even wondering if this works like billboard there is a main and the others are component charts or not, like the hungarian dance or not.

@MarioSoulTruthFan: I don't add the Hungarian charts (that's Kirtap92), so I'm not particularly sure. I would think the chart marked the Single Top 40 would take precedence over the radio and streaming charts (due to airplay and streaming figures generally counting towards countries' main charts), and thus neither should be listed when a song already charted on the Single Top 40. As for the dance genre chart, I assume that's fine to list when a song charted on it as we do it for other countries. I do agree that for a country like Hungary, that really isn't that significant in terms of worldwide charts, that four charts is excessive though. Perhaps Kirtap92 can shed more light on which is the primary chart of Hungary. Not sure if you do work on older music. In general, Wikipedia pages on artists and music from the 1950s and 1960s tend to be very messy.
Big Bopper does not have a discography page, and he also doesn't have an organized discography table on his article. Also, the album Chantilly Lace does not have a page. Should articles be made for these types of albums? Or does a lack of sources make that impossible? Nikki Lee 1999 (talk) 18:18, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2020-03-24T18:18:00.000Z","author":"Nikki Lee 1999","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Nikki_Lee_1999-2020-03-24T18:18:00.000Z-Could_an_article_for_Big_Bopper_discography_or_for_the_album_\"Chantilly_Lace\"_be","replies":["c-Ss112-2020-03-24T19:33:00.000Z-Nikki_Lee_1999-2020-03-24T18:18:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Nikki Lee 1999: You're right, pages on music from and before the '60s can get quite messy and strangely formatted, but this also may reflect the availability of sources on such old material—if there's not as much information, it's likely there's not as many editors interested in the material or around to clean up the articles and thus contribute to them, as there's not a lot to do. From what I've just found, the Big Bopper only had five or so songs chart on the Hot 100, and he appears to have had no albums appear on the Billboard 200 (unless Billboard's archives are lacking when it comes to '50s and '60s data on charting albums, which is a possibility). If the album did indeed chart despite Billboard's lack of said information, or there are sources beyond listings of the album at music archive websites like Discogs and AllMusic (which there doesn't appear to be a lot from a simple Google search), then the album may be notable. In the end though, I'm leaning towards no—it doesn't appear to stand out as a classic of rock, and really only appears to have been the album the much more popular song is from. As for his discography, while I'm sure what is on his article now could be expanded, I'm not sure how much given the lack of charting or an extensive history of records after his death compared to other artists from the time. Ss11219:33, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2020-03-24T19:33:00.000Z","author":"Ss112","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Ss112-2020-03-24T19:33:00.000Z-Nikki_Lee_1999-2020-03-24T18:18:00.000Z","replies":[],"displayName":"Ss"}}-->
Billboard 200 did not really exist in its current form until 1967. So that might be the reason. Before 1967 might be classified differently in the album archives.
Understandable that it would lack sources, since it is so old.
The most I could probably request is that his page get a standard discography table, instead of a janky bulleted list with details in parenthesis. Sorry if it sounds lazy of me to not do it myself, but I'm generally inexperienced with tables and formatting. Hi. I'm aware that the ARIA Chart Watch publishing the full 100 Australian singles was abolished a couple of weeks ago, but I recently stumbled upon top100singles.net which somehow still continues to obtain the full list of 100 (I'm assuming that the website is a third party source and that they have to be getting this info from somewhere else). It could very well be the same chart because it includes the correct first 50 entries from the official chart at ariacharts.com. One can also prove that the website is reliable by comparing the 2019 list of singles and their peaks (50-100) to the ones in the ARIA Chart Watch. heyitsben!!talk09:48, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2020-03-30T09:48:00.000Z","author":"HeyitsBen","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-HeyitsBen-2020-03-30T09:48:00.000Z-Full_ARIA_100_Single_Chart?","replies":["c-Ss112-2020-03-30T11:16:00.000Z-HeyitsBen-2020-03-30T09:48:00.000Z"],"displayName":"heyitsben!!"}}-->
@HeyitsBen: Top100singles is a blog set up by a user of australian-charts.com. I don't doubt that the information is accurate, but it's not a reliable source. It previously had Blogspot in its web address, so obviously uses that software. Hi sorry to bother you but I’ve noticed you’ve updated a lot of artists discography pages. As I’m doing the same haha. I was curious to know if you were able to see if you can find any info on if Jessie J’s R.O.S.E album charted anywhere? I tried searching but evidently had no luck. I just thought that was quite odd since she’s very well known in the UK & Europe. Hi Ss112
Hope all is well on your end? I added sources to the Outside (Burna Boy album) article using the default cite web template. Instead of utilizing the template's |last and |first fields, I used the |author field to list the author's name. I'd like to know if there is some kind of automated tool that can convert |author into |last and |first, similar to what you did here. Would you be able to help me with the conversion if there is an automated tool? I'd appreciate a response, thanks. Hey Ss112
I was wondering if you could move First Man (Camila Cabello song) to First Man (song) as there is no need to specify who's song it is when their is only one article about a song that title.

Hi, I was looking to add some information for the "Noire" album by VNV Nation, but have seen that redirects were put in place back in October 2018 by yourself to the VNV Nation discography. As the album was only released in October 2018, the same time as the redirects were added, I wasn't sure whether there was deletion/redirect discussion and request for this, as I wasn't able to find anything of this nature. Would you have any objections to me undoing the redirect for "Noire (album)" and creating a proper album page, with reviews and details, etc.? Hi Missbarbell. Ss112 is taking some time away from the project and may not respond in a timely manner to messages left here. He asked me to keep an eye on his talk page. If you think you have enough material to replace a redirect with an article that meets our notability guidelines, go ahead. Hi SS112,
Just noticed that I haven't come across your edits recently and seen the "semi-retired" on your page. All aside from our crossovers in articles in the past, from one Australian to another, I wish you good safety in the current times and good health. Ss112, really....and your User page is virtually gone, too? In my COVID-19-trying-to-stay-at-home, I was listening to J-Hope's "Chicken Noodle Soup" again, after again....and checked the page to see about the original song it was sampled from....then I checked the page creator and it was you...of course....how much music have you absorbed in your short lifetime?
I don't know what's going on with you man, just remember you have a lot of fans and support here on WP.....hey...you are the Man!
Not trying to be cute, but you know how much you are valued here. I hope the very best for you and hope you are well......and most of all....remember this is your home. Ss112, You must know I already miss you personally and miss your tireless Wikipedia contributions in music very very very dearly indeed. I feel I already lost a brother who really cared about music all over the world. A unique Wikipedia contributor of immense profound value almost uncomparable to thousands of editors put together. For me, Wikipedia Music is divided into two: Wikipedia with Ss112 and Wikipedia post-Ss112. Specially effected will be all non-UK non-USA artists worldwide who needed so much your coverage and updated pages. I am also so tired of Wikipedia, exactly as you, and may follow suit. Here a personal song dedication to you for all your work. I saw your posting at RFPP on these articles. Thanks for your messages, but in case you missed it, there is a note at the top of my talk page saying please approach other editors with editing requests. I really don't wish to create articles upon request anymore. Besides, Ana Guerra doesn't have any articles to link to besides one song. Hey. Just so you know, no one wants Draft:Confetti (Little Mix album) more in the mainspace then me. But, the article can’t be moved into the mainspace for right now. According to reviewers, the article needs reliable sources (✅), detailed album reviews (on our way there) and charting (❌). It’s probably gonna be at least another week before the article is moved, as charts for the album won’t start to come until the week after the album is released. I promise as soon as the requirements are met I will be pressing the "submit for review" button. Thanks! @Doggy54321: Charting has never been a requirement for an album article to exist or be notable. If it were, we would never have articles for upcoming albums on Wikipedia, but yet, we have plenty. There have been historically significant albums that never charted. You don't need to follow the draft reviewers' recommendations to the T; I've seen those same editors deny countless upcoming album articles with the same rhetoric that they think charting is a requirement based on WP:NALBUMS saying charting is an "indication" of notability. I know you started the draft, but by all accounts, the sixth album by a well-known girl group that is guaranteed to make the UK album chart top 10, if not top 5, is a surefire guarantee to be notable from inception, and if I were you, I would have created it in the mainspace to begin with. I've asked for the article to be moved already. I don't know if it will be, but I also don't think in this case there is anything to wait for when we already have substantial news coverage and reviews. Also, having an article for an album stuck in draftspace when a lot of people will be searching for information on it in the first week of its release is doing a disservice to readers and a potential audience. You really should want it approved ASAP. If you still disagree, fine, I don't want a back-and-forth here. All I'm saying is, you don't need to follow draft reviewers' recommendations or wait it out when what they disapproved your draft for has already been fulfilled. I did create the article in the mainspace on September 16 (the day the album was announced), but the next day it got moved to draftspace and I’ve just been editing it from there. I do think it’s time for the article to go to mainspace. If you could submit it when you see fit, that would be great as the last time I submitted it, the reviewer warned me, accused me of paid editing etc, and basically said "if you submit again without significant improvement you will get a topic ban/partial block from Little Mix articles" and I’m not trying to do that as Little Mix is my favourite band. What’s more is the Confetti (Little Mix album) has been admin-protected until 23:00 UTC tonight as there were editors adding the same content from the draft article to the main article, and I kept reverting them, and it was treated as an edit war/content dispute. It wasn’t that at all but I’m not tryna argue with that because it expires in less than 12 hours. Do what you want with this info. @Doggy54321: Right, apologies, I missed that you initially created it in mainspace but it was moved into draftspace. That reviewer's warning sounds particularly unreasonable, to throw out accusations of paid editing based on interest in a topic. I wouldn't worry too much, it's obviously preventative BS. If I could've moved it already, I definitely would have, but it's admin-protected. I've asked for Anthony Appleyard to move it, that's the quickest route to having it in mainspace. Thanks so much. Long story short - User:DarkGlow got in contact with me since they can accept drafts. Unfortunately, they aren’t a page mover nor an admin. I resubmitted the draft and it’s pending review. If you can get in contact with Anthony Appleyard, please ask them to delete Confetti (Little Mix album) and remove all page protections. As soon as they do this, let me know, ASAP. I’ll ask DarkGlow to accept the draft, and then they can move it to the mainspace since the page won’t be there. I’ll get in contact with the admin Valereee, they’re awake at this time and I’ve asked them for help before, so let’s hope one of our plans works! Hey there, I just wanted to say thanks for adding the ARIA End of year charts to the top 100 songs/albums. As per most weeks, your updated peak positions are excellent.
Question, were you intending on adding the end of year chart positions for the Australian Artists as well or would you like me to help you out? I was going to add the end of year positions for those and for country and jazz /blues abound as well, if they have articles.
Thanks. @Tobyjamesaus: No, the main ones were all I was planning to do, so you can go ahead and do those if you want. If it's what you meant, I'm just not sure the Australian Artists charts are all that relevant if the song/album already made the main charts, as it is probably considered a component chart, just filtering out non-Australian artists. If the UK or US had a comparable chart, I'm sure it wouldn't be looked at as very relevant in those instances. If the release didn't make the main top 100 year-end for either singles or albums it's all good though. Hey, cool. I get what you mean about relevance. I’ll only add Aus Artist charts to those songs/albums that didn’t feature in the overall top 100 then. Cheers. @Tobyjamesaus: I realised after this that it didn't really apply to many anyway. I counted and there were only 10 Australian songs in the top 100 year-end songs, basically half by Tones and I, and 23 Australian albums in the top 100 year-end albums. Hello – long time no see The other day, an IP hastily rearranged Dove Cameron discography. They moved all of her pre-2019 releases to promotional singles, which is technically correct since they were releases from soundtracks, but I believe they have discarded a bunch of charting and certification information. @DarkGlow: I reverted the whole thing, it looked hasty and not very well thought through. The editor left the chart positions that were already in the promotional singles section but only changed the column names, making it look like several of Dove's songs had reached number 1 in France. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it's already rare for English songs to top the chart in France. For Dove it'd be basically impossible. I hope I'm understanding correctly – in regards to If Only (Dove Cameron song), would we remove the singles chronology since it's not a Cameron single, or would we change the next single to her next chronological promotional single? @DarkGlow: It's not necessary or very common to specify that. I've usually seen that moreso for albums that chart with re-releases years later rather than singles charting when they were album tracks or promo singles before they were "promoted" to full singles. Hey there Ss112, just wanted to let you know that the guideline for using Billboard's Latin charts was changed last September. The Latin Airplay chart can be used on any article from October 2012 onwards because it is not a component of the Hot Latin Songs and its subcharts be used be used as long as it hasn't already ranked on other Billboard genre charts. Here is the link to the discussion. Erick (talk) 15:07, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-02-09T15:07:00.000Z","author":"Magiciandude","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Magiciandude-2021-02-09T15:07:00.000Z-Billboard_Latin_charts_guideline_amended","replies":["c-Ss112-2021-02-09T15:29:00.000Z-Magiciandude-2021-02-09T15:07:00.000Z"],"displayName":"Erick"}}-->
@Magiciandude: Why are the Latin subcharts now allowed to be listed if a song has not ranked on other genre charts? I skimmed the linked discussion and I still don't understand. What is the logic here? What is more significant about ranking on other genre charts that would mean we should not list Latin subcharts? Ss11215:29, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-02-09T15:29:00.000Z","author":"Ss112","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Ss112-2021-02-09T15:29:00.000Z-Magiciandude-2021-02-09T15:07:00.000Z","replies":["c-Magiciandude-2021-02-09T15:40:00.000Z-Ss112-2021-02-09T15:29:00.000Z"],"displayName":"Ss"}}-->
To sum it up the best I can: Because Billboard defines "Latin music" as any music predominately sung in Spanish, thus the song's actual genre is not being factored to the Hot Latin Songs chart. As mentioned before, the Latin Airplay is not a component chart of the Hot Latin Songs because any song, regardless of language or genre, can rank on the chart. So you have two charts that aren't technically "genre" charts in a traditional sense. That's where the Latin subcharts come in and, as mentioned in the discussion, Latin music is a genre with distinct fields. Songs that rank on the Regional Mexican Airplay have little-to-nothing in common with songs that rank on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. The not ranking on other Billboard genre charts was simply my compromise, but I'm also considering Starcheers's advice and allow no limitations with them and make it being case-by-case like on Despacito. EDIT: The previous guideline before the discussion treated the subcharts as though all music in Spanish sounds the same. The discussion may have been archived, but I'm still open to suggestion on how to handle these subcharts. Hello @Ss112, I would like to thank you for defending me and helping me get my article on the album Who Am I? approved. It was especially frustrating doing what exactly editors told me to do such as adding reviews and they still declined it and moved the goalposts to increasingly absurd degrees. I've had a horrible experience in the past with AfC and the only article that I have managed to get approved by the stubborn morons at AfC is Dalia Gebrial. I am still waiting on my apology from @Robert McClenon and I expect I will be waiting a long time. @Srodgers1701: Yes, Robert McClenon has stated at the thread he started on you at WP:COIN that he will not be apologising because he doesn't believe he did anything wrong. It was probably naive of me to expect someone stubborn enough to threaten topic bans, blocks, and launch investigations of paid editing would believe they overreacted or assumed bad faith. As I said at the COIN thread though, it's a great disservice to the encouragement we should be giving to new editors who submit topics through AfC that Robert represents the kind of standard of editors reviewing AfC drafts. I can't imagine how many editors have been turned away or discouraged from further editing because they made the mistake of going this route to have an article published in mainspace. Anyway Srodgers, I would encourage you going forward to just make the article yourself in your userspace or if a redirect exists for it, to expand it directly in mainspace. AfC needs a better standard of reviewers. Hello Ss112, I hope all is well with you. Due to your experience with and knowledge of music record charts, I have a question for you regarding the SNEP French Singles chart, thanks to a rather odd thing I noticed recently. In June 2018, I added a reference to the article Ocean (Goldfrapp song), claiming that it reached a number 191 peak on May 26, 2018. Recently, I have been revisiting old articles I've contributed to, and this morning, I noticed that the position is no longer listed on the song's official profile. I am 99.9% sure that this information has been removed, and I do not understand why. I have spent a decent amount of time searching through the Wayback Machine and other articles trying to find any evidence of this peak. 05/26/18 is a legit published issue of the chart, although a different song is listed at #191. I have considered that perhaps I made an error, but I really don't think I would have done such a thing in this case. So my question is, on the French chart, have you ever noticed works with revised or removed chart positions over time? And if so, how would you properly convey this information in a Wikipedia article? Because I'm stumped. I'd forgotten about this, but a preface to this was the fact that for a couple of years after streaming became the dominant form of music consumption in the mid-2010s worldwide, France still did not have an official songs chart (as published by SNEP) that combined download and streaming data. Although they introduced a streaming chart a bit later, for a while, editors here (including myself) used the Télécharges (Downloads) chart as the de facto main chart, and lescharts.com used this for a while too. (Some editors, usually unregistered ones, took issue and tried to insist we should use the Streaming chart as it was more accurate.) SNEP later introduced the Megafusion chart (as it was called at the time, now it's just "Top Singles") that combined both downloads and streams, so editors here started using that, but I believe lescharts.com was still using the Downloads chart data for a while after SNEP introduced the Megafusion chart. As I understand it, whoever compiles the data for lescharts.com later went back and retroactively adjusted their chart data for the preceding while to SNEP's data that combined both downloads and streams, so quite a number of songs that entered due to download sales did not rank on the final download and streaming chart and thus disappeared off the lescharts.com database.
Edit: So I've just gone back and looked, and it looks like SNEP's database for the Megafusion/Top Singles chart starts the week after you're talking about. The link for Week 22 is active, while week 21 (the week you're referring to) isn't. I believe before they changed the layout of their website, SNEP had the Megafusion/Top Singles data for this week up, but it's evidently been taken down for some unknown reason. Whatever the case, whether lescharts.com has also been privy to some retroactive stream+download information from SNEP that was not actually publicly available on SNEP's website or not, it wouldn't help much for the problem here, as I think you'd probably find "Ocean" by Goldfrapp wouldn't be on the week 21 chart on SNEP's website due to it being the combined data. @Anonpediann: I would just wait until the history of the mainspace article is merged with the draft's history. When that happens, I'll approve the draft myself and move it over to mainspace as it's definitely a notable topic with an imminent release. I understand it's an annoying situation, and I see you weren't the first editor to create content at the redirect that was left behind when Revelación was moved to the draftspace, but all the contributions should have gone there so the history merge and all that didn't have to occur. Even AngusWOOF is saying at your talk page after the merge it can be prepared for the move. So it shouldn't take that long until it's back on track and in mainspace either way. @Anonpediann: You can definitely edit the draft. Nobody's going to stop you from doing that. I'd add the sources that were maybe in the mainspace article and any other news sources you can find on it, then maybe later I'll move it over to mainspace. I don't agree that we need to wait for reviews of an album for it to be notable. I already see enough coverage on this topic because it's Gomez's first Spanish-language project. The editors who patrol drafts who say that very well know there are plenty of future albums (e.g. albums several months from release) that have articles that are notable, and they're not worried about those. Hi Ss112, hope all is well with you. I have a question regarding Here I Come being either a single or a promo single. For the longest time the song has been shown as a promo single but several months ago someone had changed it, I changed it back to promo. Now a few days ago the user Status reverted it back to single with wanting a source... but the source that lists the song being released in Australia and New Zealand as a single or promo single don’t really say much at all to me. The song only charted in Australia, New Zealand, and in the US. It charted in the US on the bubbling under in 2007 but the source states 2008 for Australia... I found 2 sources that state it as a promo single but I’m not quite sure on the reliability tho, they both state it being released for Australia but in 2007.
[4][5]. Just curious on what you would recommend for this?
Thanks!

@Pillowdelight: Hey there. This is really something that needs to be hashed out at Talk:The Dutchess (as that would probably get more attention than Talk:Here I Come (Fergie song)). Maybe start a discussion there and ping Status about the page history and the sources you found. Per Wikipedia:Singles criteria, this could really go either way. I noticed just now that the prose of the article still reads "The song was released as a promotional single on January 19, 2008 to digital retailers in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, among other territories", so whatever the case, it should be made consistent when a decision is made by consensus. Personally, I agree that on the face of it that it looks like it's mostly promotional, but I don't know many promotional singles that have spent 11 weeks on a national music chart...maybe it was released in Australia as a digital single? I noticed that there's already a section at Talk:The Dutchess#Here I Come where two users note it received airplay in Australia and was, in their opinion, the next single. That's something to note in the next discussion. @Darkb0und: No, it was about the Portuguese chart. You changed the peak to 1, but the source only says 2. I explained this in my revert. As for the Brazilian certification, record labels are not considered reliable sources for certifications or sales. Labels cannot claim something is certified; only the certifying agency can do this themselves. Labels have historically been known to inflate sales and claim things that are unverifiable, like the sales of Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and so on. Per WP:TWITTER, we cannot use the label to make a claim about somebody else. We can only use them as a source for uncontentious claims about themselves. @Darkb0und: Whatever, they're still collating the data on behalf of the AFP. Regardless, it's no use showing me these sources. You should be citing them when you add or change the information on the articles per WP:V. Users should not have to ask you where you got information from, you should be citing it in the article. If you don't know how to, sorry, but it's my view that it's not other users' responsibility to teach you—you should either know how or not do it unless you can correctly cite the external source you got it from. @Ss112: I understand what you are saying so now the citation has been changed. The issue here had more to the with the timely update of portuguesecharts.com, the standard source for Portugal on wikipedia, than with a wrong external source. @Darkb0und: I'm well aware that portuguesecharts.com has not updated with week 13's data yet, but information needs to be verifiable at the time you add it, or you need to be 100% sure the site is imminently updating, as in within the hour, before anybody else could reasonably have an objection. As this is not one of those cases, because portuguesecharts.com is not on a regular schedule of when it updates, then you need to provide the source at the time you add it. Sorry, but WP:V this is not negotiable. Also, when leaving a talk page message, please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~). Thanks in advance :) Max24 (talk) 18:47, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-04-09T18:47:00.000Z","author":"Max24","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Max24-2021-04-09T18:47:00.000Z-ARIA_accreditations","replies":["c-Ss112-2021-04-09T17:21:00.000Z-Max24-2021-04-09T18:47:00.000Z","c-Tobyjamesaus-2021-04-15T04:51:00.000Z-Max24-2021-04-09T18:47:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Max24: Nope, I'm not aware of any place to reliably source ARIA album certifications for albums not in the chart. Maybe ARIA will come back with a better year-by-year archive for single and album certifications, but I'm not holding my breath. @Max24: I was writing to Ss112 about something else and saw this message. I have been in touch with ARIA regarding their accreditations. In December last year, they emailed me telling "We are developing a new accreditation system to roll out on our websites later this year", which of course hasn't happened (yet). However, I was sent an excel document of ARIA accreditations for 2020 (up to December 2020) and it includes numerous updates not reflected on wikipedia, (for example multiple Queen (band) single updates). I have suggested ARIA come up with some sort of portal whereby people can search for an artist/song/album and see any accreditation, which they said they'd take on board, but I too am not holding my breath.Tobyjamesaus (talk) 04:51, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-04-15T04:51:00.000Z","author":"Tobyjamesaus","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Tobyjamesaus-2021-04-15T04:51:00.000Z-Max24-2021-04-09T18:47:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Hey Ss112, I love your work. I saw there were a few Australian artists who had albums debut on the ARIA Australian Artist Chart for the weeks commencing 5 April 2021 and 12 April 2021 and I was thinking they "might" have made the overall top 100 (somewhere between 51-100).
I have just created stub articles for Civic (band), Stepson (band) and Pipe-Eye (aka Cook Craig). If you have information regarding any chart positions you could add to these articles, that would be awesome. @MikaelEmanuelsson: I'm sorry, but I'd have to go digging through Spanish-language sources to find any critics talking about it and I'm not well versed in that. Aside from adding a chart table and cover art, I don't know how much more I could contribute here. Also, I don't mean to sound unkind, but I'd prefer users not come to me and ask for help. I have a notice in bold at the top of my user talk page telling editors to approach someone else. @Lk95: Just letting you know a user moved an article this user started on your redirect to draftspace. Hi Ss112, I noticed you updated some info on Nelly’s page and was wondering if you could take a look at a lot of her songs that charted specifically in Canada, one being I'm Like a Bird stating on the discography page states it hit #1 but on the actual page it’s listed at #19 per RPM. Songs like Turn Off the Light, Shit on the Radio (Remember the Days), Powerless (Say What You Want), Try and Força did they even chart in Canada? On every one of there pages nothing is listed for charting in Canada. I had corrected them by removing them but wanted to double check with you to see if maybe you’d know. Another one being Promiscuous on its actual page it’s listed at hitting number one but the source is coming from a link that no longer operates and is listed as coming from Nielsen Soundscan. Should it be removed? Or should it just be left alone?
Thank you! @Pillowdelight: I'd say the chart performance for "I'm Like a Bird" on RPM's chart would be truncated because it ceased publication in November 2000. I'd say the other peaks were achieved on the Jam!Canoe.ca charts, which were listed on AllMusic years ago before they stopped that (apparently due to their license running out). There's still a few Wayback Archives of those links. I'll try to find one. okay, so should I just revert the numbers back? Or just keep them removed. It’s hard to tell which songs charted and which didn’t. I'd say keep them removed until there's proof of the other numbers. It's really unfortunate that the only Canadian singles chart for most of the 2000s decade was essentially a CD single chart that didn't track real music consumption, i.e. the (at that point) burgeoning digital market. @Pillowdelight: It appears that while the link for the Canadian peaks would have been http://www.allmusic.com/artist/nelly-furtado-p451535/charts-awards/billboard-singles, there's not an archive of this on the Wayback Machine. The fact was ... that the Black Keys' 10th album Delta Kream comprises cover versions of hill country blues songs, a genre that strongly influenced the band's early works? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Delta Kream. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Delta Kream), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Hey there. Just wanted to share that I've started (and subsequently continued building) two artists by record label lists, particularly List of Monstercat artists and List of Spinnin' Records artists, of which I still feel may still be incomplete. I've intentionally included Monstercat Silk and Spinnin's sub-labels in the respective lists, however, since the sub-labels list on Spinnin' Records is backed by mostly dead references, I could not finish including artists that released on sub-labels. Would you be willing to assist in maintenance and artist additions in these lists as much as possible? Thanks in advance! Hey, in regards to the "hyperpop" article are "stylistic origins" in the infobox a good idea at the moment? Considering it's a new article that isn't anywhere near as polished as the one on vaporwave for example, sources have been given undue weight.
E.g. on the New Romantic page a much better-defined stylistic parentage is given with the sources yet an infobox isn't used. 07:28, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
From an outsider's perspective, as I try to stay away from writing too much about genres directly, I don't think stylistic origins of hyperpop sounds too farfetched, even if it is a new article. It just depends on what the consensus is on each article. Obviously because New Romantic as a genre and term has been around longer, there's more of an idea or consensus on what to do there—e.g. to include stylistic origins but to not use an infobox. Some editors are staunchly against using infoboxes, like the ones who pissed and moaned for years about not using one on Cary Grant (which was ridiculous and overturned earlier this year). Fair enough, but another reason I'm reluctant of using the infobox is because I think it would be better treated as a music movement more than a genre. The infobox is giving a lot of credence to Kerrang!'s article and heavy metal subgenres, but a lot of this stuff (especially earlier) just sounds like electropop with pitched-up vocals. 21:42, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Hello! Hope you're doing well. If you're not interested, no prob, but might you have a moment to add album/song charts to this article? @Another Believer: I've added the chart positions, but I do have concerns about the topic's notability. For comparison, Richard Cheese had a couple of albums chart similarly on the US Comedy Albums chart and about as much passing-mention coverage as this, but their articles were redirected after an editor nominated them for deletion. I could see this going the same way. I noticed you move files manually and update the filenames in articles manually as well. As updating filenames is a drag I created LuckyRename some time ago, you may want to give it a try. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 12:46, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-08-20T12:46:00.000Z","author":"Alexis Jazz","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Alexis_Jazz-2021-08-20T12:46:00.000Z-Userscript_for_moving_files","replies":[]}}-->
Just noticed your edit on "Stoned at the Nail Salon" removing an acharts source. I was not aware that there was any issue with using this source per WP:CHARTS, and indeed I'm not really sure what other link to use, given that the IRMA link only takes you to one page that updates with every new chart. What should I use instead? --LivelyRatification (talk) 23:37, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-08-27T23:37:00.000Z","author":"LivelyRatification","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-LivelyRatification-2021-08-27T23:37:00.000Z-Re:_acharts","replies":["c-Ss112-2021-08-27T23:43:00.000Z-LivelyRatification-2021-08-27T23:37:00.000Z"]}}-->
@LivelyRatification: My point was moreso to use the original website. Obviously Wikipedia:Record charts lists acharts, but it has been known to publish dubious charts in the past (like the United World Chart) and charts that differ(ed) from those of the main country charts (hence why it's not listed for every country under WP:GOODCHARTS). There are different links on IRMA, it's just that once the page loads the URL displays #ChartTab1, which actually re-typing in the browser does not lead anywhere. https://www.irma.ie/index.cfm?page=irish-charts&chart=Singles and https://www.irma.ie/index.cfm?page=irish-charts&chart=Albums are the proper links for the singles and albums chart on IRMA. The drop-down menus on the page show previous weeks' charts. Hello. Am I correct that Billboard turned off access to its charts for anyone without a paid subscription? I'm trying to find out the basic chart info (with refs) for The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical, a new album by Barlow & Bear. Thanks for any info or advice! -- Ssilvers (talk) 08:58, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-09-23T08:58:00.000Z","author":"Ssilvers","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Ssilvers-2021-09-23T08:58:00.000Z-The_Unofficial_Bridgerton_Musical","replies":["c-Ss112-2021-09-23T09:23:00.000Z-Ssilvers-2021-09-23T08:58:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Ssilvers: Essentially, yes, but a lot, if not most, artists who've charted on the Billboard charts have chart history pages, which are open to everybody to view. That being said, it looks like Barlow & Bear don't have a Billboard profile. However, one way of looking at charts directly and getting around the paywall is to stop the page from fully loading. For example, it looks like Barlow & Bear debuted at number 31 on the Independent Albums chart (https://www.billboard.com/charts/independent-albums/2021-09-25) and number 36 on the Top Album Sales chart (https://www.billboard.com/charts/top-album-sales/2021-09-25). Thanks! I see that they are also #3 on Heatseekers and #19 on Emerging Artists. Which is the most prestigious/encyclopedic chart ranking to note on Emily Bear's page? -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:57, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-09-23T18:57:00.000Z","author":"Ssilvers","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Ssilvers-2021-09-23T18:57:00.000Z-Ss112-2021-09-23T09:23:00.000Z","replies":["c-Ss112-2021-09-24T01:29:00.000Z-Ssilvers-2021-09-23T18:57:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Ssilvers: Probably the Heatseekers chart now that you mention it (as it's essentially the "Bubbling Under" for the Billboard 200), but Independent Albums and Top Album Sales are fine to note too.
