Hello. As you know, it ended up being decided to delete the Saskatchewan in popular culture article. Although I voted for keeping it, I did understand the point of view of those who wanted to delete it. However, I thought the changes you were making in the last few days were really going in the right direction and I was expecting other people to take notice and engage in some kind of discussion about your changes. I was a little surprised that your efforts were ignored when the final decision was made. If more wikipedians had made an effort to offer suggestions about the way to improve it rather than being so ready to delete it, with your efforts and others it could have developed into something more legitimate and worthwhile. To be honest it was me who started the article and who maintained it for most of its history, and I see now that perhaps it was too trivial an article, but I wish I had gotten more constructive feedback earlier, and that more people had been willing to put in efforts like yours to steer it in the right direction before it was on the brink of deletion.
I don't know if you have any aspirations to start the article again from scratch, but if you do, let me know, and I would be happy to try to help explore different directions for the article to work towards a hopefully interesting, legitimate one. But if you're not interested in starting it again, that's fine too, because I do think it would be quite a challenge to squeeze a truly meaningful and worthwhile article on the subject--that's not to say it can't be done, but it would be a challenge. Or maybe it wouldn't be, but I personally don't have enough ideas by myself to think about undertaking it alone. I have some vague ideas about how the article could be reorganized by themes rather than by places and kinds of media, and I have some thoughts about what some of these themes could be, but by itself this wouldn't be enough. But maybe if we could round up a couple more people who would be willing to contribute ideas and experiment and explore different directions, or if we could get a discussion going on the discussion page, we might be able to come up with something satisfying for us and agreeable to the general wikipedia population. But, again, if you're not interested, I would also be happy to let the idea drop. Anyway, no matter what, thank you for your efforts on the last article. You can leave me a message at my user talk page if you would like to contact me about this. Thank you! Hi, SriMesh. Thanks a lot for your note. I'd be happy to work on the article with you but am quite busy. But if we take it slowly I think that would be good. So do you have some initial ideas for what aspects of the subject, or what angle you think might work? I have one idea, but it is not at all fleshed out yet. I think we will likely need to do some discussion back and forth before we clarify at least a little concretely how to tackle the article, unless you have some brilliant, clear ideas already. For me, on the list of popular culture items in the last article, there were a number that seemed to find humour in the fact that Saskatchewan (and maybe Saskatoon and Moose Jaw) were funny-sounding, and also in the representation of Saskatchewan as a big vast expanse of land where there is nothing happening. For me that would be an intersting angle (at least for part of the article). The problem is in our article we wouldn't be able to just say that's the thinking of the people who made these references, we would need some quotation attesting to that effect, otherwise we would be guilty of original research. I don't know if you noticed, on the Saskatchewan page someone wrote a very, very short Saskatchewan in popular culture bit to fill in the hole where the link to the sub-article used to be, and the person wrote that "Both Saskatchewan and Saskatoon are frequently alluded to by comedians, due to the perception that they constitute inherently funny words." But somebody else deleted that part of it, presumably because it wasn't referenced. The only way I can think of that we could get around that problem would be to look hard for some references of people who have directly said that the sound of Saskatchewan is funny or that the vastness of the land with "nothing happening/nothing there" is funny. Anyway, that's my one idea so far. Again, I'm very open to other ideas as long as they seem doable and interesting. Let me know what kinds of things you are thinking of. By the way, tomorrow I have to go away for several days and likely won't be able to check my messages (have decided to leave my laptop behind) but I will check when I get back, in a week's time. Thank you. A useful addition you have made. Could you perhaps correct the opening sentence you added, which appears to have a typo ("neighbourhoods of subdivisions")? And also provide a definition of "neighbourhoods," as it appears in the sense you use it to be a technical term of art? And also provide a citation for the list you have inserted? Thanks! I have responded on the talk page for the "Regina neighbourhoods" article to your suggestion. Masalai
Oh, don't take it personally, SriMesh. "Contact the City of Regina planning department" is not really the answer to errors being thrown up; the answer is to correct the errors. There is no issue with the "neighborhoods" [sic] classification; the issue is what the definition of "neighbourhood" is. If it is from Stats Can then that should be explained. However, the matter remains that a complete list of such neighbourhoods doesn't seem useful information: the fact that there is a residential precinct styled Whitmore Park and another styled Normandy Heights and some dozens of others surely counts as trivia. But more to the point, what is your understanding of the "neutral point of view" policy and in what way do you consider that the sub-article violates it? And how does adding a complete list of "neighbourhoods" (however that is defined) ameliorate such violation? (Interesting, incidentally, that you use the term "you'se" for the plural of "you." Are you Irish?) Hello again, SriMesh. That is a wonderful, detailed response that you have put on my talk page, and thank you. Could I ask that you copy and paste (the appropriate parts, obviously) to the Regina Neighbourhoods talk page so that the other editors might enter into the discussion? But to answer you briefly, the anonymous editor who took such exception to the brief mention of the problems in the North Central precinct of Regina, and whose mighty objections indeed gave rise to the article, has now been permanently blocked. The discussion of other "notable" neighbourhoods and indeed the entire article was generated entirely by way of attempting to answer his or her problems with any reference to North Central's issues. There is a general consensus among habitual editors of Regina articles that apart from the half-dozen "notable" neighbourhoods which have been discussed (and perhaps not even them), there is very little that is noteworthy about Regina neighbourhoods and any discussion of them beyond what has already been generated would have to be trite and meaningless. Hi SriMesh. Hope you had a good Canada Day. I wanted to thank you for your contributions and echo Masalai's comment that urges you to not take this personally. Indeed, I concur with Masalai's concerns about Regina neighbourhoods. For whatever reason, the planners of Regina decided, in their wisdom, to develop faceless and drab subdivisions from about 1965. I think that the addition of any other subdivision to the article, with the possible exception of the so-called Transitional Area semi-neighbourhood, would be bumping up against WP:Relevance. Masalai has set the tone by addressing Regina neighbourhoods in a historical way -- however a strategy that we could adopt now is to add a few sentences that describe the present conditions of neighbourhoods. One more thing -- you are a registered Wikipedia editor and thus you are most definitely not an "Outsider to Regina" as you described yourself elsewhere. You are free to edit where you will, and judging by your excellent contributions elsewhere, you are most welcome! ^^ Mumun 無文17:20, 5 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-05T17:20:00.000Z","author":"Mumun man","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Mumun_man-2007-07-05T17:20:00.000Z-Masalai-2007-06-23T07:46:00.000Z","replies":[],"displayName":"Mumun \u7121\u6587"}}-->

Well, thank you again. I am still mildly sceptical as to what I might profitably add to the project but I shall keep your invitation under advisement. Have you also extended it to the other major contributors to the Regina articles? They are User:Mumun man, User:Kmsiever, User:Friesguy, User:BigNate37, User:Reginaguy and no doubt some others whom I have neglected to mention.
Before, however, you devote a great deal more time to elaborating on the list of Regina neighbourhoods that you have added, may I suggest that you wait for (or perhaps solicit) comment from the rest of the community of editors who regularly contribute to the Regina articles. As I mentioned before, the entire purpose of this sub-article in the Regina series was to accommodate the urgent objections of a now-banned editor ("Mayor Quimby," who was banned under that name and subsequently continued to edit anonymously) to the extremely mild and matter-of-fact observation that the North Central precinct of Regina is subject to problems of social and economic disadvantage and high rates of crime. As the author of much, indeed nearly all, of the article, I have no qualms about admitting that it is largely a boondoggle. The fact remains that Regina residential neighbourhoods are largely undistinguished, and there is very little of interest to say about any of them, which is not at all to criticise them; it is a bare statement of fact. Your mooted project of tracking Regina urban development policies through the years by reference to residential neighbourhoods is a vast one: it is more appropriately the subject of a PhD thesis than a Wikipedia article! Thanks for the invite; I'll pass for now, but I'll do my best when necessary to revise articles dealing with your province; not much contact with the University. BTW, ditto on the Prince Albert input--I see PA's founder, James Nisbet needs some clean-up, too--I'll get to it.

Will use its sections for the U of S template, until full college articles are written. Working on a push to get the U of S to A status then to Feature... I noticed that College Building (Saskatchewan) was not in the list of building included in Gothic Revival architecture in Canada. I added a note to the talk page to see if it made sence to added it. Have you considered trying to contact the various editors of the multiple articles in Category:University of Saskatchewan that have not added their vote to the Article Collaboration and Improvement Drive?
I did contact two editors that have interacted with my post and requested that they consider the article, but so far they have declined to do so. I think those who have edited University of Saskatchewan based articles in the past may be more receptive to the invitation. Good luck in your efforts, you are at least within striking distance. I have noticed that the article has fallen off the list. I am a bit suprised that you did not respond to by last post. Have you given up on trying to have the article accepted as part of the Article Collaboration and Improvement Drive? If not, I would suggest that you added it back again and leave notes on the pages of those that had previously supported it. Don't worry about it. Anyway, this is what I had in mind for the Newsletter:
Progress Report for WikiProject Saskatchewan Roads
Saskatchewan Highways 1-99: 62/62 have their own articles.
Saskatchewan Highways 200s: 18/18
Saskatchewan Highways 300s: 45/50
Saskatchewan Highways 600s: 64/82
Saskatchewan Highways 700s: 60/72
Saskatchewan Highways 900s: 64/64
Saskatchewan Numbered Roads: 1/3
Saskatchewan Named Roads: 1/177
Saskatchewan Range Roads: 1/14
Saskatchewan Township Roads: 0/14
I have only counted the listed roads here. There are definitely more roads in Saskatchewan, particularly in the Range and Township Road listings. I invite everyone interested to contribute to WikiProject Saskatchewan Roads. That would be it. And for your question about how those two articles were not deleted, someone else actually removed the deletion templates from the articles. Highway 667, I assumed, was not deleted because the nominator was confused about Wikipedia's notability guidelines (the nominator did not know that highways generally meet notability requirements), and I guess Highway 956 was not deleted because there was more information that could be added, contrary to what the nominator stated - Apparently, he thought that "[there] isn't anything you could possibly say about it other than this" when talking about the 11 May 2007 revision (but just compare that revision to the current one).
Thank you. Ultraflame15:57, 18 July 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-07-18T15:57:00.000Z","author":"Ultraflame","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Ultraflame-2007-07-18T15:57:00.000Z-Reply_to_your_message_on_my_talk_page-1","replies":[]}}-->
howdy, and thanks for your help on the North Sea. the references look great. the english article is now much better referenced than the german! there are still some sections from the translation that im going to be trying to work in somewhere which will be unreferenced (or, of course, youre welcome to do some of this if you see a good fit), but as of right now it looks much better than i had hoped. also its not so much that every section needs x citations, more that facts should be as easily verifiable as possible. i also appreciate all the other stuff youve been doing as the translated material (especially my sections) is still rather unpolished.
As for DYK, i suspect despite the growth it wont qualify, though i would love for more people to be taking a look at the article. so here's hoping! indeed it is looking much better. from my point of view the major things that need to be done are
copyedit, especially for brevity to reduce size. im working on this at the moment, slowly.
branching off and summarizing of the history section, as well as possibly the coasts section and the natural resources section.
expand lead section to provide a good overview of the article. this is tough since there's such a variety of info and some of it is rather specialized.
possibly expand marine traffic section. ive done a very little bit of expansion with the cleanup. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jieagles (talk • contribs) 04:46, 18 September 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-09-18T04:46:00.000Z","author":"Jieagles","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Jieagles-2007-09-18T04:46:00.000Z-Jieagles-2007-07-25T04:57:00.000Z","replies":["c-Jieagles-2007-09-20T17:16:00.000Z-Jieagles-2007-09-18T04:46:00.000Z"]}}-->
Lead looks good, only problem is the quote from Mahan seems lost in the lead paragraph. That is a very important work, highly influential, examining important North Sea power struggles, and possibly helped lead to Germany's naval build up before WWI, the quote seems a bit out of place so im wondering where in the article a mention of Mahan might go and what sort of quote would be appropriate. what do you think? I did some major updates on the Sports page. I didn't include references for most of them as unfortunately, the majority come from first hand experiences. By that I mean I was at the games/events or I've had conversations/emails with those involved. Its a little amusing that some of the references on that page refer to pages I've created myself, but hopefully this is what you were looking for. I'll take a look at it and see if there's any help I can provide, but I'm not hugely familiar with Saskatchewan sports — the edits I've done on SK sports articles have mostly been categorization improvements, to be honest (e.g. reclassifying things into "Sport by city" subcats, etc.) Bearcat18:14, 5 August 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-08-05T18:14:00.000Z","author":"Bearcat","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Bearcat-2007-08-05T18:14:00.000Z-Shootmaster_44-2007-08-05T09:55:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
No problem. I'm honestly surprised you can find as many references as there is. Being a huge sports fan here in Saskatoon has helped me develop my interest. Thanks for your message. This is what I have in mind this month:
Red links to Saskatchewan roads
When looking through some Saskatchewan Highway articles (especially those containing intersection lists), you may notice that there are red links to potential Saskatchewan road articles (especially Range and Township Roads). However, many of these roads do not appear on the List of Saskatchewan provincial roads. If you happen to read over any highway articles, and you notice a red link to a road that does not appear on the provincial roads list, please add the road's name to the appropriate section on that list. Eventually, I believe that we will have a list of all known Saskatchewan rural roads. Thank you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of Xena, Saskatchewan, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Template:Saskatchewan Communities. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Great job on Wikifying it and whatnot. But the mayor is not who the article says it is. I believe, if I am not mistaken, the mayor St. Louis is Emile Lussier. I know him.
Also, that other ways to cite stuff it good as well.
About the St. Louis ghost light and train article should be in the St. Louis article unless it has sufficent information in it to keep it it's own seperate article. If it doesn't have enough information to keep it it's own article than merge it and re-direct that article to the St. Louis article.

On the Crichton, Saskatchewan article there is a starting of a sentence... "Back in the day" which sounds unencyclopedic. I will change that.
Also expanding other ghost town articles and not just Uranium City.
Is Uranium City and actual ghost town? Last I heard, there were people living there. That sounds like a terrific idea. I would of course be more than delighted to collaborate with anyone and everyone who has ideas to contribute to southern Sk articles. Have you also involved the other frequent contributors to these articles? There has been a recent infelicity as a result of a somewhat less-than-courteous intervention by an overseas contributor and regular contributors seem to have withdrawn somewhat from regular editing, which seems a pity, but perhaps they can be persuaded again to join in. Thanks again for alerting me. I appreciate it! Warm thanks for your kind words as to my contributions to articles on Regina and other southern Sk communities. I vastly appreciate your comments. (There are times when unkind and impolite words in this forum rather discourage one from contributing further, as I am sure you well know from your own experience with Wikipedia.)
I am more than delighted to contribute to the Sk project in any way I possibly can. (Let us hope that knockers whose "contributions" consist only of wholesale deletions of text without any discussion and demands for citations as to matters of common knowledge might take a more positive attitude!)
One question which perhaps could be investigated: I note that several Wikipedia articles contain extremely enlightening screen-saves of Google satellite maps. Does anyone in the Sk project know what the copyright status is of these images and how Wikipedia can legally use them? Virtually any article on a Sk community could be enormously improved by adding such images, but obviously one does not want to violate copyright.
Kind regards, and again my deep thanks for your kind words. (I trust it is more than amply clear that I do not purport to "own" in Wikipedia terms the articles on the various Sth Sk communities I have contributed to.) You encourage me to contribute further. SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

It is wonderful that several Reginans and southern Saskatchewanians now want to sign on and contribute their information as to the Regina and S. Sk articles. The more the merrier. I hope that you have also made overtures to the other recent regular contributors to these articles. Many have been somewhat scared off by recent discourteous interventions by a certain nosey parker in Brisbane, Australia (of all places) and her partisans in Sweden (huh?) and perhaps the new project will encourage interested parties to return to Wikipedia. Here is a good way to make the reference list in the notes from stretching a page. It inputs a scroll bar so you have to scroll up and down to see all the references.

Hi SriMesh,
Where do you find the French wikipedia awards for a good job?
Où trouvez-vous les récompenses françaises de wikipedia pour un bon travail ?
It's been a little while since I've been involved in this particular project and even then, I was mostly involved in the Wikimedia Canada project and not the WikiProject Canada. In order to help you out, I fixed the interwiki links between the english and french projects. I hope this will either help you find what you're looking for, or maybe find some people better able to answer your question than I am.

I for the most try to sum up some of the article. Other times it's a bit harder. I know this from doing news reporting for pro wrestling sites. Plus you always source your information.
Leslie Nielsen is from Saskatchewan. I thought he was from Saskatoon, but from Regina. I am wondering if Joni Mitchell is from Saskatchewan as well as I heard she was. Do you know exactly where. Hi, I noticed that you're one of the few active members of WP:CANADA. I hate to bother you, but I was wondering if I could ask you a favour? I've cleared out all of the backlog of unassessed articles (quality wise) except for two that I contributed to significantly myself: John Babcock and Eric Peterson. I was wondering if you could assess them for me to avoid a conflict of interest. They've been rated by other Wikiprojects, and I suspect you can give them the same ratings with low importance. If you could do this favour, all WP:CANADA would have at least a quality assessment (I think I'll take a break before I start assessing unassessed importance articles though!). Hi, thanks for taking the time to review the article I put up for nomination.
Having gone over the points semi-automated peer review:
- I don't believe there is an issue with the lead. It is both concise, well-referenced, and provides an adequate summary of the article in total.
- I'm not sure what issue (if there is one with the links) is apparent, but please do kindly point out any suggestions.
- No available images of use as of now.
Hope to hear from you soon.

I've touched up (or rather, touched-down) the lead of the article, as per the above suggestion. And no, I didn't place the article under the Wikipedia:WikiProject Sports. I'm assuming I should...

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Once you have declared your intent to review it is allowable (and perhaps even advisable) to make changes to the article to move it up to GA status, especially minor ones (a lot of times I do minor changes because it's easier to fix them than to explain to the editors what needs to be done). The onus for doing the major changes, however, should be left to the editors or the nominator. Of course, there's a lot of leeway for deciding what constitutes a "major" change. The only thing that is frowned upon is editors reviewing articles that they have made substantial changes to before the nomination. So if you fail an article, but then work on it substantially after the fail, it's probably best to let another reviewer review it. Please discontinue your use of these "semi-automated peer reviews" in conjunction with reviewing for Good Article status. They are not geared towards the Good Article criteria, and often are more geared towards very basic manual of style issues only. While they certainly have their use, I believe that including these reviews in conjunction with good article nominees can be very confusing to editors.
I also personally find use of these semi-automated scripts a general "cop out" by the "reviewer" to avoid actually providing a serious review on the article. If you want to use the scripts, then it would be much, much better if you would just make the minor changes to the grammar, spelling, and/or wording yourself, instead of posting some very ambiguously-worded and unhelpful "list" of issues to the article, letting editors try and go through the article and make all of these suggested changes. Hi, you recently placed a "weasel words" tag on "Singapore Stone", apparently based on an automated peer review. This article previously underwent a previous automated peer review, and I have already taken into consideration the suggestions made there. As to the alleged existence of weasel words, I don't think there are any that haven't been backed up by citations. The Singapore Stone possibly dates back to the 10th or 11th century, and it just isn't possible for the experts writing about the artefact to be more certain about many aspects of it. It appears that the basis for the claim by both the previous and the present automated peer reviews is that the phrase "it has been" occurs in the article. I did a search for the phrase, and it only appears once in footnote 16, not in the main article. I'd argue that that is hardly an excessive use of weasel words.
If you have identified other weasel words or problems with the article, kindly indicate what they are on the article's talk page within the next three or four days so that they can be attended to. Otherwise, I or another editor will proceed to remove the "weasel words" tag and request that the article be reassessed for Good Article status. Thanks. Hello there you have made some comments regarding the aforementioned template. There are some Wikiproject Canada Workgroups such as Law, Political parties and politicians, etc, who have added syntax to the Canadian template, rather than creating their own assessment template. None of the provinces have done that - may they? Out of 10 provinces and 3 territories only 3 provinces have their own assessment template, 6 provinces including SK do not do assessments, 2 work groups do their own assessments, 6 workgroups include syntax with Canada wikiproject, and 3 cities do not do assessments, and Vancouver does theirs. note Is it ever that a province would add their wikiproject as a syntax code to the Canada wikiproject? I am involved more with SK wikiproject than the other provinces. Is it OK to have a wikiproject banner that supports the structuring of articles without assessment, and just add the CA banner for the assessment process? Or should the SK wikiproject change their banner for the talk page to include assessment? I have added this query to the newsletter also - trying to consolidate articles and such for SK. I'm actually the one who has been adding that functionality to the template and setting up assessment tables for the projects. I had always intended to eventually include the provincial projects to the template using the parameters "SK=yes", "ON=yes", etcetera. This would take a bit of time as it requires changing the template, setting up categories for the assessments, announcing the change, linking to the assessment table, writing importance criteria, and setting up a bot or auto wiki browser to change all of the outdated templates. I should be able to get around to it in a couple weeks if no one beats me to it. --Arctic Gnome (talk • contribs) 19:57, 18 November 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-11-18T19:57:00.000Z","author":"Arctic.gnome","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Arctic.gnome-2007-11-18T19:57:00.000Z-SriMesh-2007-11-18T19:37:00.000Z","replies":["c-SriMesh-2007-11-18T20:17:00.000Z-Arctic.gnome-2007-11-18T19:57:00.000Z"],"displayName":"Arctic Gnome"}}-->
Got your reply. It is cool that we are both thinking along the same lines, it seems just like I am a bit pokey - er. I can help with some of the set up work if that will help. I can't do robots as of yet, but I can make categories, tables, and pages if that helps with the set up. Oh My Goodness! You are speedy! You are absolutely amazing even! I am still reading about the various set ups which have taken place with the work groups, and you are done! Hokey dinah! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now another query which perhaps you can clarify. Before WP SK was set up, there was a SK roads wikiproject, which is now part of both WP SK and WikiProject Canada Roads. After WP SK was set up, then there was created a WikiProject Saskatchewan Communities & Neighbourhoods. What should these two other WP projects use on their talk pages, in your humble opinion? I will start doing the modifications to the wikiproject, newsletter and talk pages. I say we should wait and see whether the SK communities projects develops into something worthy of having its own category or whether it gets reabsorbed into something else. The Saskatchewan roads project was far more specific than it needed to be, and once I get roads added to the main template, those can be tagged as "roads=yes | sk=yes". The same may happen to the communities project, it may get absorbed into the general SK project or into a general "communities in Canada project" --Arctic Gnome (talk • contribs) 21:04, 18 November 2007 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2007-11-18T21:04:00.000Z","author":"Arctic.gnome","type":"comment","level":7,"id":"c-Arctic.gnome-2007-11-18T21:04:00.000Z-SriMesh-2007-11-18T20:58:00.000Z","replies":[],"displayName":"Arctic Gnome"}}-->

I would start translating right now; but, first, it is the night over here, and second, I am translating some other articles too. Don't worry, I will translate the article in some days.
By the way, the literal translation of the article uk:Щука звичайна is Usual pike. Well, I will take it into account.

Oops. This comment was supposed to go here and wound up on your user page in Wikipedia Commons instead.
The infobox in the Qu'Appelle and Ft Qu'Appelle articles look terrific, I must say. I'd like to add one to the Grenfell and Weyburn articles but I don't know how you went about creating the maps for the Qu'Appelle articles which show the locations. (Incidentally, though, you've got Qu'Appelle and the Fort rather nearer and to the north of Regina than they actually are.) You'll possibly have wondered why I went to so much trouble -- which might profitably have been spent on towns with more vitality -- over the Qu'Appelle article given that the "town" is nowadays little more than a village, and a waning one at that; but it has some historical interest well beyond its continuing admittedly marginal significance.
