Is there any to fix this so that it may work with all skins? It seems the text at the bottom of your variation of the csd-bio tag:
Please consider placing {{subst:nn-warn|User:Mets501/Sandbox}} ~~~~ on the User Talk page of the author.
would result in the text:
"A tag has been placed on User:Mets501/Sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia..."
I doubt this was your intent, so I am bringing it to your attention. Also, I have removed [[:Category:Speedy deletion templates|A7]] from your version of the template, so that it does not appear in the category. —Swpbtalkcontribs16:10, 28 November 2006 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2006-11-28T16:10:00.000Z","author":"Swpb","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Swpb-2006-11-28T16:10:00.000Z-Re:_User:Mets501\/Sandbox","replies":[]}}-->

Hello, Mets501. I am just curious about your bot. Does your bot only use for fixing templates, template substitutions? Well, I didn't even check my old messages [[1]],and didn't even notice that your bot was fixing couple template on my old messages for Esperanza Newspaper. I know your bot automatically fixing templates on user's page, and some links. In my opinion, your bot is also used for removed deleted images. What else does your bot do? I noticed that Mets501 moved the "Data Matrix" article to "Datamatrix" on 04-Nov. However I'm not sure if this is the best move because the official name for this barcode symbology, as defined by ISO and AIM, has a space between the words ("Data Matrix").
This new name would certainly be convenient from a search engine perspective (i.e. "Data" + "Matrix" gives dramatically different results than "Data Matrix"), but it is a big step to intentionally mislabel something and shouldn't be taken lightly. As it stands now, I wouldn't have found this article even though I have researched this subject heavily in the past.
Maybe there were other reasons behind this move, but I wanted to raise this point of view.

Hi Mets501...
On Oct 8, 2006, you placed a "redirect" on the Sahaj Marg page.
If you click on the first Sahaj Marg, you will see the "re-direct" page and if you click on the 2nd, you will see the "Wiki" article. If you click on the "here", you will get the "history" page. Is this what you had in mind?
On most other "redirect" of articles, the reader does not have access to these pages....
The Toronto post page, http://www.torontopost.biz/Info/?Sahaj_marg is another examble where all the "Edits" and 'redirect" prompt(which takes you to the "redirect" page), are also included (and hot), so it looks like the reader can edit the article from the Toronto Post page, unlike all the other "redirects" for other "articles".....Is that what you had in mind??
Thank you...Just making you aware of these issues...
You can reply to me here or on my User page...

An editor in need of a bot to save time on some redirects after a move has asked me if I know how he could go about asking for some assistance. I just think you need to look at this not only as the bot-owner Mets501 but also the pagemove-expert-admin Mets501, as the move doesn't seem to have been discussed anywhere and is to a term 2% of the population at best will have heard of. Also, if the move sticks, it needs to be tidied up (see the redlinked disambiguation line on the page for a starter). I think there is confusion on how to go about starting a bot (eg here and here) and there is no wikipage covering this, the main bot page talks only about policy, not avenues for getting started, how to make a bot etc. I have made a suggestion that a howto page be established and, as a frequent editor helping out with bots, I would appreciate your comments. You moved the page to Line of succession to the Portuguese throne, which had been deemed as POV title already before, by at least three users: John Kenney (who specifically said it to be POV), Septentrionalis (who had moved the article from that name, and indicated POV concerns), and me. At most, three users ever supported that name you now moved it to. And you can see at Talk:Line of succession to the Portuguese throne that the present name was not in the move proposal, which may be the reason why some did not think necessary to oppose just it specifically. Move requestes must not be assessed by surprises (the name was not in the proposal about which the survey targeted). Please redo the closing, with a proper assessment on basis of what was requested. I say that the name to which you moved the page, is POV, and is supported only by (a) ignorant peopåle, and (b) POV pushers. There is no extant Portuguese throne for anybody to be in succession, and the defunct throne is under serious rivalry, and its possibly leading candidate does not hold legitimate succession rights according to laws which were in force in that monarchy until its abolition - thus, "line of succession" is inherently and dangerously POV as to this former throne. Hope you do not want to promote POV. The neutrality of the present name of the article Line_of_succession_to_the_Portuguese_throne is obviously POV (as said by three established editors), and that's my position to the move. Any vote cannot make POV to be NPOV, nor can any vote allow a move to POV name. If you have arguments why the name were not POV, you are welcome to present them at Talk:Line_of_succession_to_the_Portuguese_throne. Results of a vote is not an argument, particularly such a result that was interpreted misguidedly, and was not in the proposal (the RM proposal was the thing "voters" took position to, not to any addition). The reason I have brought this to you attention was to request the unblock of the IP address 67.115.220.195 (due to expire on 08:06, 6 October 2007). Administrators have placed this block on 01:36, 21 October 2006 for repeated vandalism over several days.
The purpose of this is to inform you that the above IP address does not alone belong to Whitney High School, as assumed by the warnings/blocks notices on the talk page, but also to Artesia High School. Both schools are within the same ABC Unified School district, and must somehow share the IP address.
Obviously there has been a terrible misunderstanding of some sort, and we would be grateful for further investigation into this matter. The argument about the strain on servers keeps coming up, but nobody has ever provided any information how big this alleged strain is. Is there any chance you'd reconsider your decision, and redirect transreal number to James Anderson (computer scientist)? After I mentioned the idea in the AFD, I noticed a number of people changed their vote to endorse that idea. My original argument was something along the lines of transreals aren't NaN (and not wheels, and not hyperreals, and whatnot), and that it might be better to merge the articles on transreals and James Anderson. That way someone looking for transreals could get the references for transreals and the discussion around them. In connection with the transreal numbers AfD, I found the whole concept to be reminiscent of the surreal numbers concept introduced by John Conway, which was the subject of a lecture I attended at HCSSiM. The whole thing strikes me as more a difference of nomenclature for dealing with infinites and infinitesimals more than anything else. I guess I'll more of your thoughts on this when you're asked to give your close reasoning when this one inevitably winds up at DRV. Why did you restore User:Fredil Yupigo/VaNdAlIzM!?? Need I point out that it meets the speedy deletion criterion CSD G3, pages that are pure vandalism? Also, are you aware that you just restored vicious personal attacks, such as "Fred likes Teletubbies. He also masturbates while thinking about his mother."? Vandalism subpages are a terrible idea, as they create all sorts of problems and need to be patrolled regularly. Don't you think that a page encouraging vandalism might be a bad idea? Should we be at all surprised when clearly inappropriate attacks show up on pages that seem to encourage such? I urge you to reverse your actions. Hi, Mets501. I'm writing in regards to the fact that you closed the above-mentioned Move poll. When I proposed the move, another user (Lyrl) went ahead and made the move only a day and a half after I officially proposed it. Of course I am in support of my own proposal, but I think that that person's action was a bit hasty, especially since at the time it was two days before Christmas and many people are busy. I opted at that point to leave the change intact, with a note stating that the debate was still open, since I didn't think it should have been done so hastily. Then you closed the move poll, so now there is no official place for people to voice their opinions. My questions: Why did you close the poll? What can we do to make sure everyone has time and a place to be heard? Thank you. On what grounds did you decide that the singer is more famous than the athlete? Almost everybody in Greece knows the athlete but few of them know the singer. It should really be the other way round. --Avg11:50, 28 December 2006 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2006-12-28T11:50:00.000Z","author":"Avg","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Avg-2006-12-28T11:50:00.000Z-Apostolos_Nikolaidis","replies":["c-Mets501-2006-12-28T14:07:00.000Z-Avg-2006-12-28T11:50:00.000Z"]}}-->
Not being Greek myself, I was relying on internet searches to determine which one is more well-known. From the searches, it appeared as if the singer is the most well known, then comes the stadium names after the athlete, and then the athlete. If I'm wrong, I'll more than gladly place a disambiguation page at Apostolos Nikolaidis leading to both the singer and the athlete. —Mets501 (talk)14:07, 28 December 2006 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2006-12-28T14:07:00.000Z","author":"Mets501","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Mets501-2006-12-28T14:07:00.000Z-Avg-2006-12-28T11:50:00.000Z","replies":["c-Avg-2006-12-29T16:51:00.000Z-Mets501-2006-12-28T14:07:00.000Z"]}}-->
That's a good idea. I'd go for disambig as well (singer, athlete, stadium). The reason most people know the athlete is indeed because of the stadium after his name. --Avg16:51, 29 December 2006 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2006-12-29T16:51:00.000Z","author":"Avg","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Avg-2006-12-29T16:51:00.000Z-Mets501-2006-12-28T14:07:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
I did see your comment, and I read the rationale about why not to use them. I left it because the concerns mentioned don't seem to apply to my case. It's a standard image used on multiple templates and pages, so new image upload is not relevant. The image is very small and doesn't reduce searchability, actually I think it adds to searchability because my signature is easier to pick out. Not potentially distracting, again because it's so small and simple. The scale to text would only be relevant in extreme cases, because the image is already very small (I could make it even smaller if that is a concern). Clutter up file links, maybe; but so do templates that use the image. Drain on server, not really; my image is half of one kilobyte when on the page. Once the image is loaded once, it is stored in the cache, not downloaded multiple times.
I think some of the reasoning there is flawed, and if you want to push the issue I'll get involved in the policy page. You closed the poll on Flemish with the summary "The result of the debate was determined by Peter Isotalo to be move." Does this mean that merging the edit histories isn't relevant in this case? Should I just make a cut'n'paste move of the current content to Flemish (terminology)?

Sorry Mets501, I do not see where your statement "determined by Peter Isotalo to be move" comes from. He put the latest comment in the discussion section and his position has been clear (1. undiscussed unilateral modification followed with edit-war, 2. unilateral move when the move was obviously most controversial, 3. multiple tagging unduly discrediting the article and repeated WP:PA against named and unnamed but known opposition, 4. WP:RfC, 5. another WP:RfC, 6. immediate support vote on a proper proposal by Anþony to move) but I do not see where PeterIsotalo determined the outcome of 6. This proposal had 3 supports (including the proposer's) against 3 opposes and then one more support. At 4 against 3, I would assume the proposal for a change would be denied as being undecided [in fact, it seems logical to assume that LucVerhelst, the initiator of modifying the much earlier disambiguation page to an article style, would probably oppose if he would decide to end his Wikibreak]. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding, as I see that the move (which you performed yourself for other requests) has not (yet) been executed though the request has been put into the backlog. May I suggest going over the whole (lengthy) Talk:Flemish before actually committing? Kind regards. — SomeHuman31 Dec2006 14:16 (UTC)
