Hi there,
Just trying to see what I am doing wrong in the College of Pilots wiki article.

Hello 135.23.188.125 , not to be snarky, but since you a) aren't logged in under your account and b) didn't provide an actual link, I spent four minutes trying to find your article (which I do recall) before giving up. Please remember to log-in when posting Talk comments so that folks can see what account your questions are associated with, and to be able to consistently communicate with you (since when not logged in you don't see the notifications for messages sent to your account). And also whenever you mention a specific article on a Talk page, Helpdesk, etc., make sure you link the article. It's never easy when someone pops in and says "Hey I have problem about that one article about castes, can you help out?" rather than take the extra second to type Caste system of India. So please post log in and post a link, but since I'll be in and out you're best to ask at the AFC Helpdesk for quickest response. Hello Belmadani Elmadani , did you read the very specific description of the problem in the pink box at the top of your draft, particularly the link to our policy on inline citations? Fine, but you do need to clearly WP:Footnote the article since Bemadani is alive and needs to have a precisely correct biography. And that means we need some media sources that discuss his career and impact, not just a dozen links which mention that he has paintings in Gallery X and Gallery Y. We need WP:Substantive discussion of him.
Also a concern, you've uploaded a number of images of his paintings to Wikimedia Commons. You are aware that being on Wikimedia Commons, with the licensing you accepted, means that anyone can use that image for much anything. That includes people using it for free in commercial works, so according to what you posted on Wikimedia Commons, the author (and again, you state here that your username is not the author, but on Wikimedia Commons you claim you username as the author and grantor of permission) that means someone could use those paintings as background for, say, a Coca Cola advertisement, and not owe Belmadani any money for using it. Is that what you actually wanted, and/or is Belmadani aware of your stating that he has granted permission for that? I would strongly suggest you clarify that. Hello, the reason things "disappeared" was that your foontnote coding wasn't quite right, so the program was attempting to jam the entire article within a footnote. To avoid this, be very careful that every "ref" tag at the beginning of a footnote has a corresponding "/ref" tag (/ meaning "close" in computer-code). If not, you get a never-ending foonote that confounds the page.
Next, your Resubmit did work, it's just due to coding issues the new yellow boxes pop up at the bottom of the page rather and stay there for hours/days before being moved to top. It's a silly programming quirk, and it'll eventually get resolved, but it's annoying now and not the novices' fault in the slightest. I've moved it to top for you.
The article has a few things that are going to need some work, but taking one thing at a time here is your list of priorities:
Add clear WP:Lead section, see my comments by your first paragraph. A strong lede is a requisite for a good article
So far as references, for an article this non-controversial you can probably just list your refs at the bottom rather than footnoting them to specific paragraphs, so I'll fix that for you. If you later write about a topic where people may debate sourcing, or about a living person where we must carefully avoid libel, then for those you must ensure that for each sentence or paragraph you write that it ends with an explicit footnote, telling the reader "If you doubt that John Smith was sent to jail for fraud in 1998, here is the specific title and date of the New York Times article which verifies such". But 19th century clergy is niche enough that I don't think it's a big problem, though in the future it never hurts to footnote, just for precision.
Next, please divide the article into WP:Sections, using the coding like so "==Early life==". When a double or triple "=" occurs at the very start of a line, that lets WP know it's a section title. Just make sure to close with a corresponding "==" lest the code think everything following is all a subtitle.
After that, please add WP:Wikilinks to key terms in the article. Only wikilink a word on its first occurrence (i.e. not a score of Exmoor links down the page). Also be selective about which terms bear explaining; there's no need to wikilink horse since 99% of readers know what that is, but Shetland pony is a technical term that readers may want to know more about, or even just see a picture, so it's worth linking.
When we get all that finished up, we need to dry the tone up a little. WP articles are very neutral and factual, and leave opining to the reader. So we don't say "tragic death" we just say "death", both for concision as well as to leave it to the reader to form an opinion vice spoon-feed them a "feel bad about this" indication. Similarly, a "!" has no place in an encyclopedia, nor does "Interesting to note", "Strangely enough", etc. since we leave it to the reader to decide if a given fact is interesting or thrilling.
I hope this doesn't look an intimidating list. The article is doing pretty well so far, so if you just put another hour or so into it over the course of the next few days, you should be good to go once a Reviewer gets to it. And we're knocking out a lot of the backlog, so it shouldn't be too long a wait. I looked at the criteria for school notability, and I believe that East Sheen Primary School does warrant its own page on Wikipedia.
As it says on the criteria for schools: For elementary/primary and middle schools, reliable secondary sources are usually too limited for notability. An exception is made for schools having a specific, notable distinction or status (e.g., the Blue Ribbon Schools Program in the U.S. and Beacon School, Training school, or 'Grade 1' outstanding Office for Standards in Education overall assessment in the UK).
East Sheen Primary is indeed rated Grade 1 (outstanding) OFSTED. I have edited the page to make this clear, and have added links to media coverage of the school.
Yours Faithfully,

Hey User:MatthewVanitas ,thanks for all the support you have been giving me in developing the article Gopichand Lagadapati and also helping me in learning how to write a good article. You are just like a good teacher who we can't stop thinking for making us learn from our mistakes.Regarding your suggestion to delete revisions in article i copy pasted ## db-self ## as you have mentioned. I have copy pasted the code in most of the articles which i thought i don't need them. I realized later wiki article is using the draft where i pasted the code to be a current version. So i selected last 4 versions of the edits & saved them .I liked your edit and really wanted to be shown in the main article section and unfortunately the name got replaced as i saved your draft and i don't want it to happen ..I want the credit to be in your name for giving the best edit and suggestion..How do i undo to get your name in history revision..Really i want my readers to know how you have contributed. Please consider my request and make a change as i want every reader to know your contribution.Happened by mistake and am really sorry. Thanks for your contribution..Your are my master and i salute you...Love and peace Rock.C.Mathew — Preceding unsigned comment added by Astrangers heart (talk • contribs) 02:48, 12 October 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-10-12T02:48:00.000Z","author":"Astrangers heart","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Astrangers_heart-2013-10-12T02:48:00.000Z-Where_did_i_go_wrong_and_how_to_correct?","replies":["c-MatthewVanitas-2013-10-12T13:41:00.000Z-Astrangers_heart-2013-10-12T02:48:00.000Z"]}}-->
Hello Astrangers heart, I checked the History tab for Gopichand Lagadapati, and note that if you hit the "show 500 more" option down at bottom, then you can see my edits in the History. You just can't see them at first because you've made a lot of edits since then. Speaking of which, you're making a ton of very small edits and then saving. Please instead use the "preview" button if you're going to be making a lot of small changes, because otherwise the History gets full of dozens of different versions of the article, with only a few letters changed. So if you're editing the article for 30 minutes, maybe just hit "Save" two or three times in the process, but when you just want to "see if I coded it right" you can hit "Preview". Two more small things: don't forget to provide an WP:Edit summary (little box beneath your edit window), every time you hit Save. Even if it's just "typo", "fix spelling", "rmv error" or whatnot, at least it gives other editors some idea of what you're changing without having to dig into all the comparisons. And secondly, don't forget to sign your posts on Talk pages. Good work on the article, I hope to see more from you on topics you're enthused about, and it should be much easier now that you've learned the process. Hello User:MatthewVanitas,Thanks for quick reply.I think i have missed the procedure some where. You gave me a code dbself to delete the old revision .I pasted it on the top of page and saved it.The old revision for which i placed speedy deletion request took over actual article. I placed the deletion code on all revisions and they started taking over one other and started showing as latest updated article which altogether became messy.I thought that code would automatically delete unwanted revisions from history so i did not write any summary. Now its disappointing to me to see n number of my own articles in revision history..I strongly feel that there should be a delete button to erase old revision history. I am here with the plan of writing many articles but for now i am sad looking at revision history. I am happy that i learned some thing but at the same time disappointed that i can't keep a clean history but in some time very soon I will write. Thanks Matthew ..Thanks for the support Astrangers heart (talk) 13:40, 13 October 2013 (GMT)

Hello, again as recommended in the pink review box I posted (please do read the comments in those, they tend to answer 90% of any questions), you have not demonstrated technical WP:Notability. That is, you have not proven that a number of journalists or academics have found CPC worth commenting on. A basic sum-up of the rule is:
Looking at your current draft, you have not provided anything meeting the above. You have two footnotes to a new article from years before the group was formed (so no "significant coverage" of CPC), and then links to CPC's own webiste (not an independent source). You don't actually need the CBC source, because it doesn't mention your subject at all, so having a footnote for it misleadingly implies that the CBC article has coverage of the CPC.
Bluntly spoken, part of WP:Notability is "if you can't prove that some journalist or academic has found the subject worth writing about, then Wikipedia does not find the subject worth writing about." Are there some vitally important subjects out there that lack the coverage they deserve? Sure, but we have to draw a line somewhere, and our line is requiring evidence of existing coverage of the topic so that our readers can trace all facts back to a published and reputable source. Why did you do this move to aggregative games instead of moving it to the singular aggregative game? Using an inappropriate title makes it necessary for others not only to move the article again later but then to fix the links to the article. SIR,
I understand all the requirements given to me in order for my post to be given maximum attention. i have not rested in my effort to research books, and other information sources but i am unable to get my source fact from any publication. if there was a secret information about kirikiri town which i write on, i would have gotten it from the Nigerian government. the government knows about kirikiri town because of the Nigerian prison and the Nigerian ports authority situated, aside from that sir, they have no information concerning kirikiri town. my only reference are the newspapers because they have one or two stories concerning kirikiri town. That could buttress my claim that kirikir town exists and from all indications, i am the first major person to do this kind of write up concerning kirikiri town. thank you sir. please look into this serious issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fedricx (talk • contribs) 07:43, 23 October 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-10-23T07:43:00.000Z","author":"Fedricx","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Fedricx-2013-10-23T07:43:00.000Z-thank_you_Sir_Matthew","replies":[]}}-->

Hi again Matthew,
I have now added references and done my best to index them correctly for the article about The Horstmann Technique.
I hope this is what you requested earlier and that now the article can be released. Sorry for taking so long, but it took a while to get hold of article copies.
Thanks,

I recently submitted an article on “Primier Pizza” (now titled Premier Pizza 2) for review to be published on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, my submission was declined by yourself due to there already existing a page with a similar or same title. I was referred to the following link, in order that I could request additions and edits to the page, or otherwise contact its author.
Upon following the link I found that the previously existing article had been deleted by User:Sphilbrick due to the page being "abandoned" (I have since submitted my content to the abandoned page). Before doing this however, due to my wiki naivety and because the original page had been deleted, I simply fixed the coding issues and resubmitted my article "Premier Pizza (2)" for review, per available instructions. So I now have the same article pending review under the abandoned page "Premier Pizza" as well as the duplicate (my original submission) now titled "Premier Pizza 2".
As a new user this is a rather confusing situation to be in and I was wondering if there are any other (preferably expedited) resubmission or appeal processes I should be considering, or if there are any other potential issues which may impede the publication of this article (i.e. should I delete one of the submissions, fix anymore coding etc...).
Any help or advice you would be willing to offer would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Tyler Scott

Hi Matthew,
I understand you will be on vacation until December, I just wanted to consolidate some things for you to hopefully make the publication process easier on both of us. In addition to the editing I've done on the page here is the correspondence I have had with User:Sphilbrick in your absence (I realize you have been mentioned in it, so that this must be in your inbox. However, I find redundancy to be a good safety net.)
Greetings!
I recently ran into some interesting issues when attempting to post my first wikipedia article and was hoping you had some insights to share or advice to give. My article was declined due to it being a duplicate of a declined page you subsequently deleted for abandonment. I have since resubmitted my article under my original page as well as the page you deleted (I resubmitted the former before understanding the abandoned status of the latter) I believe this move may have confused the resubmission process or otherwise been a wikipedia faux pas.
I would greatly appreciate any help you would be willing to give. for more information and links to the pages in question please see the following correspondence I submitted to User:MatthewVanitas
Thanks!

Moved from sandbox to AfC in March, then declined as not suitable for main space
Abandoned with no edits between March and October
Tagged as possible G13 due to lack of activity
Deleted as G13 on 24 October
Restored on 7 November. Not sure why
On same day Premier Pizza (2) also created
The new version has more refs. I haven't looked closely at either, but suspect it is not yet ready for prime time. I think the best thing to do is:
Have Tyler.tw. confirm that Premier Pizza (2) is the better version
If so, and no one disagrees, I'll delete the original, MatthewVanitas will withdraw the objection on the basis of duplication, and Premier Pizza (2) will continue the process, with a renaming if and when ready for main space.
Is this OK with you MatthewVanitas? --S Philbrick(Talk)00:43, 8 November 2013 (UTC)__DTREPLYBUTTONSCONTENT__-->__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2013-11-08T00:43:00.000Z","author":"Sphilbrick","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Sphilbrick-2013-11-08T00:43:00.000Z-Issues_Fixed?_Resubmission_Advice","replies":["c-Tyler.tw.-2013-11-12T19:54:00.000Z-Sphilbrick-2013-11-08T00:43:00.000Z"],"displayName":"S Philbrick"}}-->
Hi Sphilbick,
Thank you for the detailed response! I was hoping to have gotten some input from MatthewVanitas by now so we could continue to move forward. However, according to his page he is on :vacation until December 1st. I understand this will delay the plan of action you proposed for continuing my submission along the publication process. It may be just a matter of patience at this point, :however if you have any more advice on navigating this process I would love the help.
Also, I will definitely look into Wikipedia:Teahouse for further information, and would greatly appreciate any input you may have as to the content of my submission.
Thanks!

Hello, MatthewVanitas:
WikiProject AFC is holding a two month long Backlog Elimination Drive!
The goal of this drive is to eliminate the backlog of unreviewed articles. The drive is running from December 1st, 2013 – January 31st, 2014.
Awards will be given out for all reviewers participating in the drive in the form of barnstars at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 1800 articles, so start reviewing articles! Visit the drive's page and help out!
A new version of our AfC helper script is released! It includes many bug fixes, new improvements and features, code enhancements, and more. If you want to see a full list of changes, visit the changelog. Please report bugs and feature requests there, too! Thanks. Probably not. If Wikipedia makes your text available again, that'd be a violation of policy since that would be de-facto re-releasing potentially libelous comments about someone. If you have a copy saved somewhere and want to put it up on Facebook or whatever, that's your call, but I'm pretty sure Wikipedia staff would consider unveiling your writing again to be a form of endorsing your prank. It may well be that your subject is totally cool with the joke article, but our fundamental rules require that we don't say anything about a living person unless it's documentably provable, since it could theoretically cause real-world harm to someone to allow incorrect info to be posted about them. For all we know, [your subject] could be extremely upset about such things being said about him, or it could cause his wife to become suspicious of him and storm out, or lord knows what. So we have no real reason to hook you up here, and no reason not to be totally extra-cautious about having any potentially misleading info about someone posted here, per our policy Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Hope this helps. hey Matthew,
You recently reviewed my article "Olympic Taekwondo" and declined. You wrote that there was already an article with the same title, but when I clicked on the Link to the article that was supposed to be the existing one it lead me to my article on an other page for creation that already got deleted. So there is no other article with the same title or subject. Do I just resubmit? Matthew Vanitas -- Thanks for reviewing my submitted page on Ramon Ricker. I'd like to make some edits so that the page will meet Wikipedia's standards. I understand the page's problems have to do with footnoting. Can you give me one or two examples from the draft text that need to be footnoted? Thanks so much,

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
