I heard that you would like to be adopted. Well, I would like to adopt. My name is BlueCaper. I have been on Wikipedia for about 11/2 years now. I have edited over 1,300 times, assume good faith, and deprecate those who purposely trash Wikipedia. (If anybody tries to help but accidentally trashes Wikipedia, I will kindly and politely tell them how to properly edit.) I have gone into Wikipedia alone, without knowledge. Thus, a lot of unpleasant experiences during ignorance of how Wikipedia works have been painful and raw. I will never let that happen to anyone else.
MAN MUSIC, I am here to help. -BlueCaper (talk) 23:05, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2009-02-05T23:05:00.000Z","author":"BlueCaper","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-BlueCaper-2009-02-05T23:05:00.000Z-Hello.","replies":["c-BlueCaper-2009-02-06T20:17:00.000Z-BlueCaper-2009-02-05T23:05:00.000Z","c-BlueCaper-2009-02-06T20:19:00.000Z-BlueCaper-2009-02-05T23:05:00.000Z"]}}-->

Oh, and this:
Congratulations!
Congratulations on your recent adoption, MAN MUSIC, and welcome to Wikipedia! I saw that you have expressed an interest in being adopted by an experienced editor. Being an experienced editor myself, I accepted your request. Whether you want to learn about wiki markup, find something to do, or just talk to somebody, I'm the person to see about it - just leave a message on my talk page. Remember, I am willing to help you and make your time here more enjoyable. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have, and remember to "be BOLD!"- I'm here to help you; no question is a stupid one. In the mean time, here are some pages that you might find helpful, in case you haven't already gotten the official welcoming:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome and congratulations!

Wikipedia:Upload is the pre-form for Special:Upload. You can find it on the left, where it says "Upload file." For now, just upload work that you made entirely and that does not contain parts of anything else. Click this my own work link, the same one that you will find on Wikipedia:Upload. The top will provide information that can help you, but I will provide you with my own similar but simpler tips.
The Browse button opens up a dialog box that helps you find the file to upload. If you don't know the folder in which it was contained, click "My Recent Documents," scroll down, and it should be somewhere near the boottom, given that you created few or no files after the one to be uploaded. (Note: Unless it applies to something encyclopedic, for user pages, or for WikiProjects and/or awards, do not upload.) And, if the original filename does not reveal some information about the file, change the Destination Filename.
Scroll down to Summary. Click to the right of "Description," and type the description of the file. Click right of "Date," and type the year (two-digit number)-the month (two-digit number)-the day (four-digit number). If other versions are already uploaded, provide links to them next to "other_versions." After }}, hit the Enter key twice and add {{PD-self}} (no rights reserved) or {{GFDL-self}} (other people can use it but have to say that you created it).
If you typed {{PD-self}}, click "Public domain" in the '''Licensing''' drop-down box. If you typed {{GFDL-self}}, click "Multi-license with Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike and GNU Free Documentation License (recommended)."
Click the Watch this page square to see any edits made to it on your watchlist. Depending on the conditions, there may or may not be any warnings after uploading. Click Ignore any warnings to ignore them and continue uploading the file.
Finally, click Upload file. You should see the page for your file. -BlueCaper (talk) 20:49, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2009-02-07T20:49:00.000Z","author":"BlueCaper","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-BlueCaper-2009-02-07T20:49:00.000Z-BlueCaper-2009-02-07T16:49:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

You did not upload a free image (maybe free in price, but not free to use without attributed rights). I saw that you put licensing (necessary, but good), but more is needed to prevent the file from getting deleted. Read the above message; I took care of it already. But go to the file's page and click "edit" beside Summary. Look at what I did and how I did it.
What I did was add a non-free use rationale. All fair- and non-free-use images need this in the Summary section. Note that beside Article = , there is no need to put [[ or ]].
I told you to only upload free images, so that there would be no troubles. I wanted to wait to teach you this. Please abide by my rules from now on; okay? I am not angry, but that untagged upload made it harder to maintain the way that Wikipedia should run. Thus, I will have to smack you with a minnow.
Thanks for uploading File:Icarly logo.svg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --PixBot (talk) 15:05, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

To make a Bezier curve, draw a line, then click outside the line, and the line will curve to its new tip (where you just clicked). To make a line but not a curve, draw a line and double-click without moving the mouse.
To make a star, click where you want the center to be and drag ↑↓ to spin the star and ←→ to make it grow.

Thanks for uploading File:Logo icarly.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
