Your submission at Articles for creation: Edward Wilberforce (October 18)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Onel5969 was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing, so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia.
What you can do: Add citations (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners) to secondary reliable sources that are entirely independent of the subject.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by SwisterTwister was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Onel5969 was:
This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Proposed deletion of Temples of the Earthbound Gods

The article Temples of the Earthbound Gods has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability for this particular books; perhaps first try to write an article on the author.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Luana Muniz moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Luana Muniz, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG. And IMDb is not a reliable source.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:33, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: Luana Muniz has been accepted

Luana Muniz, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

The article has been assessed as Start-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. Most new articles start out as Stub-Class or Start-Class and then attain higher grades as they develop over time. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!

Women in Red 8th Anniversary

Women in Red 8th Anniversary
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap!

Hi Katherine, I'm writing to you as you are listed as the instructor for this course. While you are of course free to require your students to work on any articles, might I suggest that asking them to work on featured articles is likely to cause frustration both to the student and to editors of those articles? FAs represent the most carefully curated work on Wikipedia, and though I am the first to admit that all articles can still be improved, it is probably going to be challenging for a student unfamiliar with Wikipedia to see where improvement is needed on an FA, and to properly integrate their changes in a way that won't lead to the edits being immediately reverted. The FA I noticed you assigning was 1954 Guatemalan coup d'état; there may be others. Best, Vanamonde93 (talk) 02:37, 7 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Placeholders on live articles

I am concerned to see this edit coming from a Wiki Ed instructor. You also appear to have missed that your student changed an article about India to American English prior to your edit, as well. Please do not add placeholder content to a live article.

Pinging @Brianda (Wiki Ed): about this. I'm not used to this sort of mistake from an instructor and am worried that you assigned a student the Civil rights movement article in that context. ~2026-79345-7 (talk) 11:21, 18 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Footballer notability

Hi Katherine.Holt, thanks for creating Isa Guimarães.

In your edit summary you wrote: "She meets the notability requirements because she who played on São Paulo FC Women's 2025 championship team and made her international debut for the Brazilian national team in October 2025." That statement is not accurate. There used to be subject-specific notability guidelines (WP:SNG) for footballers at WP:FOOTYN but they were deprecated. This means articles about footballers need to meet the general notability guideline (WP:GNG).

I think Guimarães may pass the GNG. I found a newspaper article about Guimarães which I have added to the article. A second or third piece of significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) would be nice.

Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 22:36, 16 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much, both your your additional article, and for updating me about the changes to the footballer notability guidelines! Katherine.Holt (talk) 14:36, 17 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
