I do not understand why one should have a link Krakow when the page name is Kraków and there is no reason for writing it as Krakow. Could you explain why this is so? ″Krakow″ is not a mispelling error but an anglicised version of the Polish name. There exists no accents in English, so the name is fine, and therefore the link to it. N Actually, this is not the correct interpretation of our policy/guidelines. For once, WP:NOTBROKEN is designed to deal with a different type of redirects such as [[Franklin D. Roosevelt|Franklin Roosevelt]] which are unnecessary (providing that they don't lead to a wp:disambiguation page of course). – However, the names of cities containing special characters are routinely corrected throughout the project. In such case, the correction would be a going standard, not the other way around. For example, the name of the city of Lodz (which is a redirect in English Wikipedia) should be corrected to Łódź, and so on.
