Some of the people I introduce to wikipedia have difficulty with factual information being changed. Here is my take on Truth.
Observable Truth
An idea or concept which can be independently verified. e.g. The number three.
The word three is an invention but the number concept of an integer one bigger than two is an observable truth.
Agreeable Truth
An idea or concept that a group of people agree to be The Truth. Other groups may have a different view.
The symbol for three i.e. 3 (a line with three end points) is the commonly used symbol in modern times. In the past (and today?) other symbols have been used.
In wikipedia we have a combination of Observable Truths and Agreeable Truths.

Thanks for your support, how can one tell between a bot and an actual user, I would think that human administrators are capable of distinguishing between vandalism and cleaning up. I noticed that when I logged in, and stopped editing under an anonymous IP, the accusations stopped; is there a bias against people without accounts?Storms991 (talk) 01:17, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2008-03-23T01:17:00.000Z","author":"Storms991","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Storms991-2008-03-23T01:17:00.000Z-Wrong_Accusations","replies":["c-Brian_R_Hunter-2008-03-25T06:52:00.000Z-Storms991-2008-03-23T01:17:00.000Z"]}}-->
Some editors have noted that most vandalism is done by anonymous users so they habitually check those edits. Sometimes they get it wrong. Vandalism is a big problem but it does not excuse the false positives that careless editors make which can cause a lot of ill feeling. Good bots like ClueBot (talk·contribs) have details on how they are used and seem to make few mistakes. Real people sometimes use tools to help them like Huggle; indiscriminate use can lead to mistakes. --Brian R Hunter (talk) 06:52, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2008-03-25T06:52:00.000Z","author":"Brian R Hunter","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-Brian_R_Hunter-2008-03-25T06:52:00.000Z-Storms991-2008-03-23T01:17:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi Brian R Hunter. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Hi Brian R Hunter! I'm just leaving you a message in response to the AIV report you filed for this user account. First, I'll start by saying that the user's edits were definitely vandalism and the report you filed at AIV was a good one - I've blocked the user as a vandalism-only account. I just wanted to let you know about this section of Wikipedia's policies on user pages. Specifically, users are allowed to remove messages, notes, warnings, and notices from their own user talk pages. There are some notices and tags that they cannot remove from their own user talk pages (they are listed at the section I linked you to), but these weren't present on the user's talk page. No worries, though... I didn't know about this policy until someone messaged me about it after seeing me do the exact same thing that you did. ;-) Anyways, if you have any questions, just let me know and I'll be happy to answer them. Just ping me in your responses here so that I'm notified. :-) Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk)(contribs)18:45, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2019-10-24T18:45:00.000Z","author":"Oshwah","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Oshwah-2019-10-24T18:45:00.000Z-Zachary_LL.","replies":["c-Brian_R_Hunter-2019-10-24T19:11:00.000Z-Oshwah-2019-10-24T18:45:00.000Z"],"displayName":"~Oshwah~"}}-->

Hi, while there maybe some excess detail; I felt it not warrant an 'undo'. If you want to refactor the page by changing some of the additional information, I would see it as a better way forward. Is this the talk page? Just asking, I'm not exactly sure.
Anyways, If wondering about that minor change in Anthony Daniels, it was something that needed to be fixed up.
As A Star Wars, and a C-3P0 fan, I know for any factor he did in fact NOT appeared in a Lilo and Stitch cartoon. I've checked the episode and nether was he or his character appeared in it.
I really wasn't finding the appeal for that to be untrue to other who read it, so it really had to be changed.

Hello! The mw:Anti-Harassment Tools team is running a usability test to find out how and where IP addresses are used when patrolling wikis, particularly when patrolling RecentChanges. This could include New Pages or RecentChanges patrol. We want to see your patrolling process and get your views on some prototypes. Getting your perspective would be really helpful to us at this stage of the process. I have absolutely no idea why you reverted my addition of a Wikipedia:Short description to ICL VME. It's not the slightest bit controversial. Every article should have a short description of less than 40 characters. Your short description replaced the one in wikidata (almost identical). Adding local short description: "Mainframe operating system by ICL", overriding Wikidata description "Mainframe operating system developed by ICL" Brian R Hunter (talk) 00:48, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-10-15T00:48:00.000Z","author":"Brian R Hunter","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Brian_R_Hunter-2021-10-15T00:48:00.000Z-reverting_a_short_description?","replies":["c-Secretlondon-2021-10-16T20:41:00.000Z-Brian_R_Hunter-2021-10-15T00:48:00.000Z"]}}-->
But mine was under 40 characters. The wikidata one was too long. If the wikidata one is wrong then it would be better to correct that one, rather than to create a second one. Wikidata descriptions serve a different purpose, and do not have the size limitation. Secretlondon (talk) 19:51, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-10-19T19:51:00.000Z","author":"Secretlondon","type":"comment","level":4,"id":"c-Secretlondon-2021-10-19T19:51:00.000Z-Brian_R_Hunter-2021-10-18T12:50:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
The wikidata description is one additional word and only a few characters over the 40 'limit' (which is allowed) but I have reverted back to your revision after re-reading Wikipedia:Short_description. My view is that wikipedia would benefit from alignment with wikidata, the maintenance category [1] shows it would be a lot of work. Your edits to Battle_of_Phillora messed up the info box as you deleted part of a citation template. It was easier to undo your changes than to try and work out what you meant to change.
