I'm guessing here because I haven't seen the referenced article, but you appear to have lifted a large part of this section from the Acoustic Guitar Magazine article. It's interesting and all, but really not appropriate in an encyclopedia article. You should strive for minimalism here. Its relevant to mention the circumstances of the recording including which songs and the people involved and even the circumstances of being in Nashville, and to cite the source of this information, but details about dinner invitations, who was walking down the street, where certain vocalists happen to have been sitting when they recorded background vocals, etc. are totally irrelevant. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is bordering on plagiarism and possibly even copyright infringement.

Despite your assertion in this edit summary, the rule we follow on Wikipedia is explained in Wikipedia's Manual of Style. The specific rule is MOS:LQ, which states "place all punctuation marks inside the quotation marks if they are part of the quoted material and outside if they are not." I linked to this in my edit summary.[1] In circumstances where the punctuation is known to be part of the quotation, punctuation is placed inside the quotation marks, but where it is not, punctuation is place outside the punctuation marks. --AussieLegend (talk) 01:37, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__
-->

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Daniel Amos, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Way (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello Bob — You may be correct in that the old format is easier to read, but it is a format that is being abandoned by Wikipedia. I was the editor that put the track listing of the article into the format that you restored (check the edit history), and I then changed my older formatting to conform the article to what is becoming the current standard. I have reverted your reversion back; sorry. I disagree. An album that has the same players on most tracks with just a few modifications is one thing. But an album where no two songs have the same players is something else again. Since you're an editor (I thought we were all editors in a way) I guess you can overrule me but I don't agree at all. If the uncle died of his wounds, the nephew would not have "grabbed" the gold. He would have taken the gold from the course. That the Uncle originally grabbed the gold during a shootout. then taught is his nephew so well that he grabbed the gold, strongly implies that the nephew robbed and murdered his uncle. The other interpretation, that the uncle died from another cause and the nephew walked off with it, has no dramatic force. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ASkaaland (talkcontribs) 04:47, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__
-->

I think you misunderstood what was being stated here. It was saying that Solid Rock was being distributed by Word. He released he albums before that on Verve and MGM, but that was Norman personally, not his label. I'm sure that you've seen that I reverted it. Walter Görlitz (talk) 14:46, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__
["c-Bob_Caldwell_CSL-2014-04-10T15:04:00.000Z-Walter_Görlitz-2014-04-10T14:46:00.000Z"]}}-->

Yeah, Walter, but he didn't own Capitol either. He was signed to Capitol for one solo album and released from them in 69-70. He released a couple of albums on his own label, One Way Records. Then he signed with Verve/MGM and released two albums in 72 and 73. Then he was released from his contract with them and started Solid Rock in 74. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be missing here. Norman did not start Solid Rock after he was released from Capitol, as that had happened years earlier, but after his release from MGM. The second sentence of the article doesn't talk about distribution, but about imprint. Capitol distributed Upon This Rock, but they were also the imprint. Capitol licensed the album to a series of Christian labels after they were disappointed in the small sales. I fail to see how his being dropped by Capitol in 1970 is in any way relevant to the founding of Solid Rock, when it was done on the heels of his MGM contract. Capitol was not the distributor for MGM/Verve. What am I missing here? Actually, that was intentional. If you look at the page titled Unplugged, there is some discussion there on the overall concept. It then lists sample articles with "unplugged" in the title. I thought that the discussion made it different than a disambiguation page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. I have re-added my information and citation. It is a sufficient citation to back up the information and the way you've gone out undoing me and expecting more and more is patronizing. pbp 20:17, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__
c-Purplebackpack89-2020-07-17T20:17:00.000Z-Will_the_Circle_be_Unbroken_(Nitty_Gritty_Dirt_Band_album)

p"}}-->

It's really not sufficient. No one can use your information to look up the quote. If there's a book , you give a page number. If there is a shorter video from a longer piece, you link to it (and hopefully add the time stamp). Your link is to an article about a series that runs just short of 1,000 hours. No one can look up your reference. This is not a valid reference. Pardon me for being patronizing, but if you want to keep bringing your own remembrance of something you heard on a TV program, I will continue to call you out. That information is probably findable, but it will take more work than you have put in.Bob Caldwell CSL (talk) 20:33, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__
c-Bob_Caldwell_CSL-2020-07-17T20:33:00.000Z-Will_the_Circle_be_Unbroken_(Nitty_Gritty_Dirt_Band_album)
c-Purplebackpack89-2020-07-17T21:00:00.000Z-Bob_Caldwell_CSL-2020-07-17T20:33:00.000Z"]}}-->

I've put in all the work I've needed to. That documentary is far less than 1,000 hours. And this isn't about the sourcing at all. This is either about you not liking the observation or your insistence that that page has to be written your way. I will continue to undo you and you're not going to get any sympathy for removing sourced content. And you have GOT to stop acting like YOU'RE the only one who knows how to reference anything. pbp 21:00, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__
-->

I could not care less about the content. It doesn't bother me at all. It's all about sourcing. I also don't care about how it was written. This is not properly sourced. Period. I have a PhD and have graded more papers than you can imagine. I know what proper citations look like. I'm going to leave yours alone. I am still hopeful that someone else will chime in and show you otherwise.Bob Caldwell CSL (talk) 21:09, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__
c-Bob_Caldwell_CSL-2020-07-17T21:09:00.000Z-Will_the_Circle_be_Unbroken_(Nitty_Gritty_Dirt_Band_album)
]}}-->

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
