Hello, that was my mistake. I attached a proper, reliable source, in line with the other sources used on the page. I am a Godot "power user" and I have noticed an exceptional amount of criticism around the logo, especially lately with Godot's boon in popularity, and thought it would be a relevant addition ABetterTomorrow101 (talk) 20:14, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"20231030201400","author":"ABetterTomorrow101","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-ABetterTomorrow101-20231030201400-Grayfell-20231030201100","replies":["c-Grayfell-20231030202700-ABetterTomorrow101-20231030201400"]}}-->
Hello. I have started a discussion for this on the article's talk page: Talk:Godot (game engine)#'Criticisms' section. Please also see WP:BRD and WP:OR. Please do not restore this content again without consensus, as that would be edit-warring. Thank you. I won't restore the content any more.
However, I am confused about how to proceed. A large part of the Godot community (I wager ~30-40%) heavily criticize the logo, and Godot's leadership's is very reluctant to change it. I feel as if this is a major part of Godot's story. The only sources that back these up are: popular youtube videos, forum threads, and that one April Fools post. There aren't any news articles about it. I feel as though leaving out all criticisms of Godot does not paint a fair and neutral picture of it. I sympathize. Sources are not optional. As I've been saying for months on the article's talk page, we need more and better sources. Godot is no different from any project of its size in that it has a range of opinions from both fans and detractors. It is not really up to us as editors to decide which opinions belong and which do not. On Wikipedia, the way to paint a fair and neutral picture of it is to cite sources according to due weight and with as little editorializing as possible.
