    Silverton,Oregon History: Silverton had six car dealerships between 1920 and 1987. These included Hartman Chevrolet, owned by Earl Hartman, Anderson Ford, Moll Motors, a Chrysler dealership owned by Henry Moll, Clark Sheppard, a Dodge and Desoto dealership, Bauer Pontiac, which displayed a Tucker in the 1950s and Fraiser Dealership which sold Kaiser.

Hartman Chevrolet was started in 1926 and was owned and operated by Earl Hartman. Hartman Chevrolet was the third oldest Chevrolet Dealership when it closed in 1987. In 1976 it was recognized 50 years of service.
