I operate RedirectCleanupBot, Wikipedia's first approved automated admin bot. The Bot performs a fairly simple maintenance task, deleting redirects to deleted and non-existent pages. To ensure that it only deletes broken redirects without useful histories, it is limiting to deleting pages that have only one revision in their contribution history.
It is my hope that the Bot will be the first in a series of Bots that will successfully automate various maintenance tasks that require admin tools but not human judgment. Hopefully, freeing up human admins from such tasks will allow their time to be better focused on more complex matters.
