About this bot
The purpose of VIAFbot is mass-inclusion of Authority control identifiers in articles on individual persons. Consensus about this was reached in Wikipedia:Authority control integration proposal/RFC. Bot-development is led by Wikipedian-in-residence User:Maximiliankleinoclc (OCLC) with Python code available at github:notconfusing.
