Julia Spoor born October 5, 2001, is an American activist and advocate for gun violence prevention and common sense gun legislation. Her father committed suicide by gunshot when she was seven years old and in response co-founded gun control organization Students Demand Action.

Spoor has been in the media since 2017 with her first essay about gun violence published in Teen Vogue on June 2, 2017. She has since spoken at various events around the country and helped to lead her peers nationwide in school walkouts and the March for Our Lives movement. [1]
