A Malaysian of Indian origin, Susy Matthew came to India after completing her GCE in Sabah, Malaysia. Attending PUC at Joythi Nivas Girls college led her on to earn her Degree in Architecture (B. Arch) from BMS, College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. An architect by education and a music teacher by passion, she taught classical piano as an affiliated teacher at the Bangalore School of Music, under Mrs. Aruna Sunderlal. She was also a part time, Music teacher at the Bishop Cotton’s Girls School, Bangalore where she enjoyed teaching children between the ages of 5yrs – 8yrs as well as training choirs for various competitions upto the ages of 10 years. 

   While at, Bishop Cotton’s Girls School, she indulged another side to her creativity- mural painting on the wall in the Kindergarten playground. Her venture into the literary world was quite by chance during these years.

   Her debut novel, In a Bubble of Time exhibits her aptitude for writing and the first draft took four years in-between nappy changes, housework and being a stay-at home mum. When the children were older, she joined school with them and the manuscript was worked upon in spurts and starts till twelve years later the book was accepted by Prakash Books Pvt ltd, and finally published in 2012. 
    Since then, the second edition in E-Form (2014) is currently available through all main portals, under Partridge Publishing.

        Her second novel, Elijah, another historical novel, was conceived in Jan 2011 and published by Dec 2014 by Alchemy Publications.

When her two young children were old enough, she entered the corporate world and is currently the Director of the Wings Group of Companies. Susy Matthew lives in Bangalore with her husband, two children and three dogs.
