I think humans should spend more time making the whole world better.

Having mental and physical strength is important. However being aggressive mentally or physically does not make things better.

I was in the U.S.A. Army for four years. I theoretically was a medic, but spent my years at Walter Reed Hospital in DC. I helped injured and sick people without having to face gunfire. So I never had to face fear except that when I had to make the decision about getting myself discharged or staying in with a good chance of going to a fighting zone showed that I was not willing to go to a war zone. How I feel about myself not staying in and the reality of of being a military person watching enemy, US soldiers and civilians die are things that will always continue to ask myself what is right.

I got a job at a small hospital on an Ortho Ward. Then a year later transferred to the ER. That became the place I could handle bad situations and be proud when we helped people.

Then I had to face my income because a tech salary hit its top and I had to face being unable to raise my income or becoming a male nurse. I am so happy with the decision to become an RN. I even eventually moved to a trauma hospital and worked with an amazing team. Night shift was a tight group with fantastic people from RN’s, techs, respiratory, front desk, housekeeping, security, X-ray techs, CT, MRI, lab, phlebotomists, ultrasound, psychology, every staff member on the inpatient wards, supplies, electricity, plumbing, the whole function from O2 to elevators and I can’t forget the Doctors.
