Shaedle (a web-stage name) is a fifteen year old semi-professional actress currently attending a performing arts school in the United States. Raised in Canada, she has acted in 10 plays and will headline in three more before the conclusion of the month of May 2009. Born ShaeMichelle [last name not listed for privacy reasons], Shaedle is also the co-creator and editor of a recently launched web series on YouTube. The channel is entitled Shaedle and currently contains 3 sketch comedy episodes from the "Shaedle and Dreydle Show", along with her friend Brittany, a world junior-level figure skater. This channel will soon be expanded to include comedy rants and parodies of everything from Doritos to Harry Potter.
Shaedle was born in London, England in March, 1994, and was raised, alongside two brothers, by her grandparents to speak only Greek. However, upon her parents' completion of medical school, Shaedle, then five, moved to Canada, learning to speak English and subsequently losing the ability to vocalize her Greek. Shaedle's older brother manages and drums for an unnamed cover band in their Canadian home town, while her younger brother was recently recruited to skate and play for a tier one hockey school in the States.
Shaedle has co-wrote and starred in 3 original plays in Toronto; The Secret Life of Produce, Wasabi for the Soul, and Train of Thought. She recently graduated from a theater school in Toronto, and will be returning during the summer to learn at Second City. In Thunder Bay, Shaedle has starred in two runs of Frankenstein 1930, Ghost of Mulberry Manor, Tale of Three Nights and The Tempest. At her American boarding school Shaedle has acted in Up The Down Staircase, the Wiz and will soon be starring in The Savage Dilemma, Duet for Bear and Dog, and Rapunzel Uncut.
Shaedle has won several literary contests, including Young Authors of Ontario for her works A Life in Your Hands and Rose, and the Doc Nephron Literary Excellency Award for Rose and You Remind Me. Shaedle has written two songs as well, one entitled Red Moon and the other unnamed until the chord progression is laid down. Shaedle also writes on FanFiction.Net, under the username ShaiWatson, where she has written 7 stories over 3 domains.
In 2011, Shaedle will be traveling to Europe with a local exchange program where she will stay for a year, hopefully learn French fluently. She hopes she won't need to repeat grade 11, and will attend University of Ottawa or University of New York (abroad) for theater arts, French or history degrees upon graduation in 2012.
Shaedle plays guitar and is learning to ride a unicycle. She enjoys biking, skiing, hockey and writing. Her favourite author is Cassandra Clare and she hopes to meet her one day. Her favourite colour is grey.
