Biography
Sam was born in Port-Harcourt,NG in 1997. As a child, he found a major interest in music at the age of 6, listening to pop and hip hop icons such as Michael Jackson, Eminem and Prince. At the age of 14, Sam began to take viola and guitar lessons, he was obsessed with about breakup songs. Career
Sam was majorly influenced by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson in his younger days. In 2014, Sam took writing classes and guitar lessons to improve his mindset of the pop music genre and the style thereof. Shortly after, Sam developed an habit, early 2015 of performing music covers owing to the genius of Justin Bieber's success, the humble background of performing and producing cover versions of hit tracks lasted from 2015 – 2016 under the initial name Rocksam before adopting Sam Sun later that year. Sam's version of Major Lazer’s Cold Water landed on “Best Cover Songs 2016”.
Owing to that, Sam decided to break out as an original act 2017, following his first original release, “Save Me” which was phenomenal! Gaining attractions nationally, as the single received massive airplays which led to him being nominated for Best hip hop Single at the Top Naija Music Awards and internationally, for Most Popular Pop Artist at the South Australian Music Awards 2017, in addition “Save Me” topped the Indie music chart Top 30 at #25.
