Sam Eagle (born 19 February 1999) is an English songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Great Holland, Essex.

Career

Sam Eagle produced three EPs between late-2016 and 2019 - titled: Nothing In Particular EP, Moon Jelly EP, and COPING MECHANISMS EP. With a strict DIY attitude Sam self-produced, mixed and played every instrument on his first two EPs, as well as producing the artwork and directing the music videos himself. These two EPs grabbed the attention BBC 6Music DJ Tom Robinson who has championed Sam from the start of his career, later inviting Sam and his live band on for a live session in 2018. Through Tom's word, Sam's track 15/8 found the ears of manager Kelly Munro, who took Sam on at the start of 2018.

For the 7-track EP 'COPING MECHANISMS', Sam teamed up with producer Tom Donovan (of hip-hop group Monster Florence) who mixed the record - but with Sam still writing and performing all the parts (save for trombone) himself. The EP was released to strong critical acclaim, with track 15/8 being chosen as BBC 6Music 'Tune of the Week' and ALCOHOL. being featured on the BBC Radio 1 HOT LIST. The EP received extensive support from BBC Radio 1, 6music, Radio X, and Clash Magazine. The release caught the attention of legendary indie-label Cooking Vinyl and following a performance at SXSW Festival 2019, in July 2019, signed Sam with a recording & publishing deal.
