Lunacore is an educational site that deals with Adobe Photoshop and photography. It, as it states on the website, says,
"Lunacore Photoshop Training delivers tips, FAQ, detailed Photoshop tutorials of high quality that are easy to understand, training, advice, news and articles that can help users with this powerful product. Lunacore tries to show those things that are not covered in the manual or at least not in great detail. We see ourselves as an educational site and not as just another tutorial site."
Lunacore Forums
Lunacore's Forum consists, as of right now, 296 members, and is constantly growing. Each member has a rank, like many forums. They are:
1 star - Member - < 25 posts 2 stars - Jr. Member - 25-50 posts 3 stars - Full Member - 50-100 posts 4 stars - Sr. Member - 100-250 posts 5 stars - Core Member - > 250 posts
As of right now, Lunacore, the administrator, is the only one with enough posts to be a Core Member, although, brain863, the youngest member on the site, is only 42 posts away from being a Core Member, as of right now. Namvet, the forum's regular animator, is the site's only moderator so far. Moderators and admins only have one star. The reason is stated by Lunacore.
"Why not 5 stars? I find that pompous, like us showing others how "great" we are. We are not, we're just an administrator and moderator. You as a member are just as important as a moderator and by showing just one star we try to express that."
Lunacore Blog
Lunacore regularly updates this blog which links to different freeware and shareware products. It also links to Photoshop TV, a weekly Photoshop online educational show.
Lunacore Tutorials
Lunacore has 29 tutorials. One, "Beautify a face" has more than 300,000 page hits. All of Lunacore's tutorials are detailed, and quite a few that are over 7 pages.
