Hi. I am contributing to Wikipedia as I have a background in various disciplines, and like to play with language in order to explain complex matters for a wide audience.
With a background in applied physics, I worked for many years as a mainframe systems engineer. I am still a hobby programmer. From this experience, I contributed several entries on mainframe operating system elements, with references to more modern operating system functions whenever appropriate (and whenever I have the knowledge).
After my IT career, I became a lawyer, specialised in 'information law', patent law in particular.
My native language is Dutch. Hopefully, other Wikipedia authors will correct my language if and when needed. Rbakels 08:44, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
