Ptadesign is the user name for Peter Thomas who is a Garden Designer, lecturer and writer living and working in the United Kingdom.In addition to holding a BSc. (hons) Landscape & Garden Design, he has been awarded the professional status of M.S.G.D. and is a former chairman of the Society of Garden Designers. Peter currently lectures in New media Publishing at the University of Hertfordshire.

In the late 1990's, Peter pioneerred the use of CAD (computer aided design) for garden designers and continues to write and consult on issues relating to this field.
