Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics deals with some of the most majestic themes known to science. Among these are the evolution of the Universe from the Big Bang to the present day; the Origin and evolution of Planets, Stars, Galaxies, Black Holes and the elements themselves; the unity of basic physical law; and the connection between subatomic properties of nature and the observed macroscopic universe.
Astrophysics is important to Nuclear Fusion because the way the Sun and other stars in the universe operate relies on Nuclear Fusion in order to generate enormous amounts of energy. Nuclear Fusion on Earth is being researched in order to produce, energy for power generation of the future and thereby address the shortage, of energy needs worldwide.
