If wikipedia gets a mean "A" number of vandalism attempts on "B" amount of articles, then A/B will be the mean number occurrences of vandalism on the average page. Of course, "A" and "B" grow, one might grow faster than the other, I don't know. However, if I increase the value B, then I can at worst lessen the rate of increase of occurrences of vandalism, and at best cause a drop in the average vandalism occurrences per page. *

• As you can see, I am not a logician, obvious from the lack of technical terms to describe such a situation, but I am just trying to make a statement, not to forget, there will be plenty of chaos after the end of this sentence. (Hopefully?)

Hmmm... by your logic, the best defense against vandals is a good offense (e.i., creating articles). As an amateur new page patroller who can get a bit obsessive at times, I needed to read this rationale. Thanks! -Fsotrain09
