An American born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and raised in Burlington, Vermont, who studied linguistics and Arabic both as an undergrad and grad at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Have also studied at the American University in Cairo, Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, and Damascus University in Syria. Speak English, French, Arabic, and Turkish.
