Nigel Tristin Damian Crispin Chatterly Smedley Butler (6th of June 1956 - present)
Named after his Godfather Nigel Lawson, Baron Lawson of Blaby, the character, Nigel grew up amongst bohemians and Barons in Belgravia in the swinging 60's.
In 1982, he attended the Ivor Spencer School of Butlers and Personal Assistants in Dulwich, a suburb of London. This school trains butlers and catering staff throughout the world in hotels such as the Ocean Club in the Bahamas and the Park Tower in Argentina. One of his classmate graduates, Alan Selka is now Head Butler to Hollywood film director, award-winner, Alan Smithee.
Nigel has a fraternal twin brother,an international computer "beta tester". They were estranged at birth and have had a mercurial relationship ever since. Nigel moved to America in 1991 when a close friend of his family died suddenly in a tragic polo accident, and left him a dilapidated castle and trout stocked lake. He sold the estate on eBay and headed west with his collection of Turnbull and Assers, medals, silver polishing cloths and rare Victorian umbrellas.
Currently, Nigel splits his time between Beverly Hills, Southern California and Fountain Valley, Arizona in the employ of two masters - Horatio Pettigrew and a behind the scenes, reclusive multi-billionaire who made a fortune in the technology industry.
His highly trained skills include Krav Magar, the bunny dip, boiling water for tea, singing "How Much Is That Doggy In The Window" backwards, and the ability to translate from any language into Swahili. Nigel is divorced from his wife, Australian milliner Shiela Akubra and as a result, has an unreasonable phobic fear of koalas.
