Neil Gbeminiyi Oyenekan is a Lagos-based British-Nigerian television and film producer whose core expertise lies in producing factual entertainment, TVC's and unscripted television programmes. Since founding Lighthouse Television and Filmworks in 2010, he has developed and produced a range of local and international formats for pan-African Networks and brands. His portfolio spans early titles such as Dragons’ Den Nigeria (2008), D’banj’s Koko Mansion (2009) and Jay-Jay Okocha’s Talent Hunt (2010), to later productions including Channels Discovery (2018), The Justice Court (2019), and the social-enterprise series Fund It Forward (2024). Neil is also recognized for producing regional television commercials for global brands, including Martini and Stanbic IBTC, as well as Union Bank’s award-winning centenary ad spot 'Enabling Success'.

A member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Neil has presented papers on African television and film at notable global platforms, including the Palais des Festivals, Cannes (MIPTV), the Commonwealth Secretariat, Sri Lanka, and the Nigerian Creative Summit, Lagos.

An alumnus of the London College of Music and Media (University of West London), Neil began his career as a freelance director and producer while completing his first non-fiction sports feature, Taking Sides (2003). That same year, at age 29, he received the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival Fast Track Award, subsequently honing his craft on daytime lifestyle productions for both the BBC and Channel 4 at the renowned Leopard Films UK (now Argonon), prior to travelling to Lagos, Nigeria.
