This account is used by one member of the security staff of the BOCES Northeastern Regional Information Center (NERIC). The intent is to monitor the Class B IP address (163.153.0.0/16) assigned to the NERIC region, and to track down any abuses coming from this network.

This account is used for the following purposes:
- Revert mal-edits made by anonymous users from the NERIC Class B IP range.
- Place warnings on IP user pages form the NERIC Class B IP range in language where they are offered the opportunity for training on how to use Wikipedia.
- Work with the school districts' administration to educate both staff and students about Wikipedia.
- In consultation with the school districts, request anon blocks from the NERIC Class B IP range.
- When the students are tracked down, provide thanks and updates to editors who revert these mal-edits.
