Evaluate an article for Module 2

I feel as though the article is a good start with a solid foundation. It remains neutral and sticks to the facts, providing reliable sources to verify them. However, it should be noted that three of the eight references cited come from highly unreliable sources. With the broad scope of information that the title “Death and state funeral of Joseph Stalin” encompasses the article is substantially lacking in information. There are a lot of important details which are known about Stalin’s death, yet it is only glossed over within the article. It could also further elaborate on the state funeral, addressing the reported deaths.

It would also be important for the article to include, in my opinion, an explanation as to why Stalin’s body was removed from the mausoleum in 1961. It is mention within the article when it says Stalin was “....interred in Lenin’s Mausoleum where he lay in state until 1961”, any mention of the movement of his body effectively starts and ends there, with the article continuing on to describe certain aspects of the state funeral. Even when viewing the talk page, there was no mention in the two sections about elaborating on his death or disinterment. Hopefully since this article is part of two WikiProjects, Soviet Union and Death, it will be expanded upon in the future. -- Kdillinger20 (talk) 06:56, 21 January 2019 (UTC)
