I was born in 1950 and live in Plymouth, Devon. I've been interested in folk music since I was 15. I play a bit and sing. I've written some articles on songs, about Walter Pardon, and on Transportation Ballads.
Though I have many interests I want to work on subjects related to English folk music.
Articles I've created
- The Banks of Sweet Primroses
- All Jolly Fellows that Follow the Plough
- Transportation Ballads
- When Jones' Ale was New
- The Miller's Three Sons
- Van Diemen's Land (folk song)
- Hares on the Mountain
- Walter Pardon
- No, Sir, No
- William Taylor (folk song)
- The Bold Fisherman
- The Lark in the Morning (English folk song)
- The Golden Glove (folk song)
- The Banks of Sweet Dundee
- Early, Early in the Spring (folk song)
Articles I hope I've improved:
- List of folk songs by Roud number
- Bonnie Annie
- Lord Lovel
- The Broomfield Hill
- The Lass of Roch Royal
- Old Brown's Daughter
- Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight
- One Morning in May (folk song)
- Geordie (ballad)
- Fairy Ointment
- The Cuckoo (song)
- The Mermaid (ballad)
- The Suffolk Miracle
- George Barnet Gardiner
- Ralph Vaughan Williams
- Cumulative song
- Pretty Polly (ballad)
